He's a 33 year old bench player.  He was signed for depth and he could run an offense.  Not every player is on the team to have a huge role.

Who's starting the Appreciation thread? Guy never had a chance here, not sure why he was kept as long as he was.

Solid trade, but he expires this year.

Was it done just to see how he'd fit on this team possibly for next year?

They are gonna see if he can be a viable backup for D'Angelo. Calderon got basically no chance when Lou was here, so it will at least be some variety between him and Ennis the rest of the season. Good trade.

The Los Angeles Lakers have acquired guard Tyler Ennis and the draft rights to guard/forward Brad Newley from the Houston Rockets in exchange for guard Marcelo Huertas, it was announced today by President of Basketball Operations Earvin “Magic” Johnson.

Ok i guess.

I'd imagine the Lakers will spend the rest of the season figuring out if they found a younger upgrade at the backup PG position. If not, they wont resign him.

This screams Ryan West. He might see something in this kid and hes just not getting time. Solid trade.

It was.  It was Ryan West and Glen Cararo that did that trade today.

Glen is thee man. He is a main reason why the D-Fenders are where they are. Shot out to Joey Buss for killing it too

He's playing really solid, nice surprise. He plays with composer and doesn't try to do too much. Could be a solid role player or another trade asset. Wouldn't be mad if they offered him a contract.

It's nice having an actual point guard with the bench unit, but his jumpshot improvement I think is one of the biggest additions to his game at this level.  It makes him a much more dangerous passer when they can't go under screens anymore.

I think a better version of his style would help this team moving forward

I like how he plays under control and the solid base on his jumper. Doesn't try to do too much. Reminds me of one of those guys who won't waste too many shots. The fact that anyone under 24 with flashes these days gets a pass until THE PROCESS kicks in, we may as well give this 22 year old the same courtesy to grow

God you're incorrigible.  Even when you have a solid post you have to ruin it by repeating the same tired garbage ad nauseam.

Kid is smart and seem to always be in control handling the rock. He has the deceptive quality where no one know what he's going to do but him and somehow its effective.
