Why are people in such a hurry.

If we trade for PG13 now, it will at the very least cost us Ingram, Russell and either Randle, Nance, Zubac or Clarkson.

We wouldn't really be able to put good players around him given the weak free agency class and because of the the deals to Deng and Mozzy.

Why not just develop the rooks for 25 games (tank) and see if we can get lucky and get the top 3 pick. Then see what is out there. Perhaps the situation in New Orleans fall apart and Boogie decides to hit free agency in 2018. Maybe the same happens for PG13. Maybe Butler isn't moved this season and is available in the summer.

We aren't developing anything...we are simply getting our asses kicked. There is a difference. Simply playing young guys heavy minutes isn't the same as actually building around them.

Kid, I agree but what would you offer IND for PG and what does that do for us? And then what?

IF PG wants to be a Laker, let him sign.

Anything besides Russ, Zubac and Ingram. I don't care about anybody else on this roster or any draft pick that we have.

I personally would rather address roster issues instead of simply adding talent. We need spot up shooters and a big that can spread the floor. PG simply takes the ball out of Russ/Ingram's hands.

Unfortunately that doesn't leave much to offer, you would have to include Russ which I would IF I were guaranteed Fultz or Ball ;)

I'd offer Randle, Clarkson, Houston's 1st rounder, and all our 2nd round picks.

That still isn't enough for Paul George though in my opinion.

Lakers won't do it.  It's clear their intentions are to "compete" for the remainder of the season, but that's not technically winning.  Magic wants to tank, the Lou trade proves it.

Address roster issues first. Stretch big and spot up shooters over PG!

I want to run with Russ and Ingram, let's actually build a roster around them.

You have to give Ingram a chance to pan out. His upside is bigger than PG's.

If PG13 truly admitted that he would like to play for the hometown Lakers, I throw the kitchen sink at Indiana for him and maybe Jeff Teague if possible.

Lakers Receive:

Paul George, Jeff Teague

Pacers Receive:

Julius Randle, Jordan Clarkson, Houston 1st Rounder, 2 2nd Round Picks

George is already stretch let alone adding Teague, but it would allow Russell to play at his natural position

Teague / Huertas

Russell / Young

Ingram / Deng

George / Nance

Zubac / Black

This is honestly wishful thinking but it's time to build around the youth rather than tank to have a coin toss to retain the pick...

I was thinking along the same lines....

I would offer: JC, Randle, Young & the HOU pick for PG (throw in 2nd rounders if needed)

PG can play PF / "stretch" in todays NBA.

Dont panic. Wait 25 games, address needs and keep flexible.

I just think Boston has the most to offer being that they hold a plethora of 1st rounders (specifically the Nets pick), some very tradeable assets in guys like Crowder, Brown, and Bradley.

Wait 25 games for what though?

We could lose every game of the remainder of the season and the chances of keeping the pick would still come down to a coin toss...

It's time to build around the youth if given the opportunity.

The problem is the only way pacers accept this is if PG demands a trade and puts pacers in a bad position, much like the dwight howard trade. They are going to want Ingram in there and im sure some other team could give them that type of deal too.
