That's truly interesting.  I wonder what market value Lilard has.  He's easily a top 10 PG in the league but most teams already have an established PG.

The Mavericks should throw the kitchen sink at him.  So should the Kings, Oakland native.

Kings just gave up Cousins so this move wouldn't make sense. We should be on the phone with Portland. Lillard is exactly what Russell and Ingram need. Our team would get so much better. I know it's not likely but we should at least try.

I think teams like the kings and blazers are dropping guys like cousins and lillard because of the new cba. They likely don't see them as winning players so they don't want to drop a 200 million dollar contract on them. But they also don't want them to walk for nothing

Would you take Lillard? If so, what would you offer?

Yeah, I'd salivate at the opportunity to see the pairing of Lilard and Russell.

I guess you go back to offering Randle and Clarkson + fillers.

Could be.  Interesting take.

I'd start with Randle, clarkson, Williams

Lillards different than cousins to me. I'd be willing to offer more than I would for cousins

We have 6 prospects

Zubac
Ingram
Russell
Randle
Clarkson
Nance

Now theres 3 categories for me

Untouchable
Brandon Ingram

Untouchable unless the right deal comes along
Russell
Zubac

Trade pieces
Nance
Randle
Clarkson

So for me. Lillard is someone I may be willing to part with someone in category 2. Not sure it'd be Russell. And I wouldn't part with Russell and zubac in the same package at all

But lillard is more intriguing than cousins to me. I think he improves the team. I think he helps Ingram a lot. Problem is he'll take a lot to get.

Let's say you go

Randle, Russell, and clarkson

Well that's a steep price and now you're looking at

Zubac
Deng
Ingram
Young
Lillard

Eh. If you don't get the top 3 pick to replace Russell as a prospect did you accomplish anything?

Sure lillard is better but what could we do to put us with golden state? Nothing. Unless Ingram becomes an elite player by the time lillard is 28. And I mean elite. Khawi Leonard game changing elite would be the only way getting lillard puts us in the conversation. If zubac becomes a good starting center and Ingram becomes khawi Leonard

Otherwise you're just putting yourself in the 6-8th seed range for the sake of it with no more assets to improve

I want to get him to pair with Russell, so giving Russ up in the deal isn't an option. I'd sacrifice a few pieces to help our guys develop. That's what this move would be about, more so than winning.

Charlotte aggressively pursuing Los Angeles guard Lou Williams, league sources tell ESPN. As @ESPNSteinLine notes, most likely to be dealt.

give up that lottery pick MJ

Lakers Pulse Retweeted Chris Haynes

Looks like a mini bidding war brewing between Indy, Washington, Utah and Charlotte for Lou Williams

Well another option would be to try something like

Randle, clarkson, nance, Lou Williams

This is why I think it'll be easier in the offseason to get a deal like this done. You go to Portland with #2 or #3, clarkson, Randle, nance

For lillard and I think they listen

Then you're looking at

Zubac
Deng
Ingram
Russell
Lillard

That's a brighter future and you keep your 3 premier prospects

Dude we are simply talking trade talk, nothing more. We fully realize the chances of any of these trades happening.
