I guess me being 30 I remember the league when Lebron wasn't in it.  So this weird Kobe rivalry some fans have created doesn't compute with me. Growing up we were debating Kobe vs Tmac.  Lebron is 7 years his junior.  If anything it's [expletive] KD.  OKC pretty much ended the Lakers last run.  Tim Duncan might be Kobe's biggest rival and guys here were rooting for his team to beat Lebron lol.  Imagine had Spurs/Duncan got him that 6th ring lol.

Man if Lebron can help LA past the Celtics in championships you think all that will matter to you then?  It's one thing to root against him on another team but if he's here imagine the conflict of some of his fans lol.  I want him here JUST so some Lakers haters will be forced to be fans and take part in the winning lol

Retiring #23 for Lebron would honestly suck. Looking at his jersey on the rafters. Eeek.

I'm gonna zone out all this FA noise until next summer. It is time to focus one thing and one thing only: this season.

That's a big reason why I was in favor of signing him a few years ago.

Some really debate whether they want to have LeBron here?

Seriously?!  Like this is a real problem for some?!  Wow.

If by some weird quirk of fate he decides the Lakers is where he wants to finish things out, I welcome him into the fold with ecstatic exhilaration.

PG: Ball

SG: George

SF: Ingram

PF: James

C: Lopez

This really bothers some fans around here?  Speechless.

I don't have a problem with LeBron James but I prefer he stays with the Cav's and retires there. Same thing with George if George had already won a championship with another team. But he hasn't and his situation is similar to Shaq's, where he chooses the Lakers to cement his legacy.

But Lakers fans do not have to debate LeBron James because he's not coming here.

So Rondo's gone. You guys happy? Lol.

Shame Ian Clark's asking for so much. Bring in Barbosa or Afflalo.

Enjoy it while you can. After this weekend this forum becomes a ghost town for 3 months until about October.

Room Exception on Clark or Afflalo

Vets Min to bring back Ennis

There you go.

Assume you get Clark

Lonzo Ball / Jordan Clarkson / Tyler Ennis / Alex Caruso
Kentavious Caldwell-Pope / Ian Clark / Josh Hart / Vander Blue
Brandon Ingram / Kyle Kuzma / Corey Brewer
Julius Randle / Larry Nance Jr / Luol Deng
Brook Lopez / Ivica Zubac / Thomas Bryant

Two-Way Contract
Inactive

Now if we got Arron Afflalo

Lonzo Ball / Jordan Clarkson / Tyler Ennis / Alex Caruso
Kentavious Caldwell-Pope / Arron Afflalo / Josh Hart / Vander Blue
Brandon Ingram / Kyle Kuzma / Corey Brewer
Julius Randle / Larry Nance Jr / Luol Deng
Brook Lopez / Ivica Zubac / Thomas Bryant

Two-Way Contract
Inactive

So how about:

Deng, Zubac, Nance, 2020 1st (protected) for D-Wade?

Hard to find a more ideal trade partner, imo. Deng is liked by the fans, they're rebuilding. Wade is expiring.

Wow....Zubac went from untouchable to being traded for D Wade?

The only thing that bothers me about it is people think it can actually happen. We stand more of a chance at Russ and George than Lebron and anyone. Reminds me of Kobe playing in Chicago

I believe that this rivalry was created for two reasons

1. A lot of Laker fans fear that Lebron will or has surpassed Kobe's legacy. Nobody expected a player of Kobe's caliber to show up during Kobe's career and that's a blow to the ego of die hard Kobe fans

2. The disrespect that Kobe has been shown post court case. The fact that people automatically put Lebron in the same tier as Jordan without even acknowledging that Kobe exists annoys a lot of fans. There was never a point where Lebron needed to surpass Kobe, he was simply marketed as being better than Kobe during a time where Kobe went to 3 finals in a row.

And KCP comes off the bench for 18 mil?

KCP is the better fit. This deal makes no sense.

Not sure why we would let Black and Robinson go. Seems like most players who had anything to do with that losing culture are getting it in the neck. But oh well. Only JC, Nance, Deng and Randle are left. BI (untouchable)
