What a [expletive] package for the Kings. Pelicans probably won't be much better either.

They will be a very attractive FA destination though.

Had Magic been the head of our front office and Mitch gotten the boot.  Ingram would have been gone and we would have had Cousins haha

ere are some reactions after skimming some Kings Forums

Been a Kings fan since 1989, this one just ended my 28 year relationship. Vivek is worse than the Maloofs.

This is not cashing out. This is a 90% discount sale.

No way. The league has to veto this if that's the case.

We got rapped . I don't want Evans back .

This will lead to more trades . Barnes , Mac & more

Vlade went from asking DLO, #2, Randle for cousins to trading for Hield? SMH. Sorry Kings fans, u deserve better

im definitely jumping ship now... goodluck kings fans!

Arguably worse than the Kwame/Gasol trade. Our front office is an absolute dumpster fire.

Sixers fans jumping for joy right now.

The Nuggets got more first-round picks for Timofey Mozgov than the Kings got for DeMarcus Cousins.

But you'd have to live in N.O.

Think about it...

Atleast the Kings were kind enough to not force Cousins to move to far considering he's already in New Orleans at the moment.  Such a classy franchise.

As much as I like Ingram, I would've gave up Ingram for Dcousins.

This has got to be one of the worst trades I've ever heard.

Great for the Pelicans but so dumb of the Kings.

How could they not get more for him?

I'm 100% certain had they waited near the deadline, they could have gotten a deal 1,000x better.  The trade in itself already made no sense, but the timing of it is a completely different story.

Bargain.

The problem is Cousins is most likely gone after next season unless we somehow become a solid playoff team in one season. Thats a huge risk when last time we chanced that on dwight it killed us for years.

They were offered Drummond early this season apparently.

I'm sure they could have still gotten that trade for him now considering the Pistons are also looking to blow things up.

I'm also 100% certain Boston would have been willing to part with the Brooklyn pick + fillers.

This is hands down the worst trade since the turn of the century.  It makes Kwame for Pau look like trading a trash bag for Louis Vuitton handbag.

What about the 200m we couldve offered him?

The Kings FO is pathetic. They should have just waited for a better offer. I feel like the Lakers could have assembled a decent package this offseason if we got a top 3 pick (while still keeping Russell/Ingram/etc).

There is apparently no home advantage in this case so lakers could only offer as much as everyone else

If we had that 1st pick cousins would be a laker.

There's no doubt the Lakers would have become a potential powerhouse in the future had those pieces fallen where they may.

A top 3 draft pick, Russell, Ingram, and Demarcus is something 90% of the league would dream of.

NO QUESTION.

However, even if we did have the first pick, I'm not sure I give up a potential top 3, Randle, and Clarkson for him.
