My homies tried to convince me to go to this game.

Had to work, and I had a bad feeling we were taking one on the chin

Didn't get to go last night, but something told me it could get ugly.  Glad I didn't, I'd have been mad on the ride back home.

"Bryant had come to rage against the idea that Howard's clownish disposition could overtake the locker room, the Lakers' culture, and had warned Howard that he would never, ever let it happen."

Fisher spoke the truth. If you don't want to be here, go tell the coach and get the F OUT!

Last night was an absolute low for this team. i was watching it at  Buffalo Wild Wings and i was pissed off.

Playing the devils advocate, its 'possible' the players have been officially informed by management and coaching staff that the teams #1 goal for this season is now to hang on to that pick and play accordingly.

And this is what the demoralizing effects of that request and effort look like to team and fans.

Just a thought from the other side of things.

Maybe they're allowed to win 5 more games under this theory

Praying for  1. Some Cohesion (Ill fitting parts with young bucks, new guys, and those playing for next contracts may muck things up all season) 2. Better Coaching, No More Tanking (Last season was more of the latter but not sure how much of the former we can count on. Walton with something to prove this season as much as any Laker player) 3. Rookie Watch (Hoping Lonzo outshines his daddy (ROTY??), and Kuzma finds minutes and makes a push for all rook 2nd team)

READY FOR SEASON!!!

Although I respect that because they are probably thinking that that future pick will be theirs too, How does that play in the players mind? What kind of message does that send to the young guys? It has to be demoralizing and somewhat of a chemistry killer.

We've been lucky to even get the picks. Way it's going our tank will fail when we lose the pick to Phoenix. Yet another mistake by Mitch and Jim. We won't have officially hit bottom till we lose that pick.

It wouldn't be a game without D'Angelo's turnovers.

You speak the truth when you use the plural.  He did have 2 of them.

I was in LA traffic from 7a -12p and all they can talk about on 710am is how badly the Lakers got blowned last night. The Fisher comment has been replayed quite frequently. Ireland now changed is "untradable" players from Ingram & Russell to Ingram & Zu lol.

Demoralizing.

Exactly.

Would explain why the team didn't show up at all and looked liked they'd rather be anywhere else.

There was a long time between the last 2 games and my guess is that the players were spoken to during that break about playing accordingly to ensure team has highest probability to retain pick.

Its only a theory, but that was the worst ive seen this team this season, and they've been plenty bad in many other games

i felt bad four man. i could not even eat my food. i was livid.

if you are onto something with your train of thought, I would be disgusted with that kind of talk. "so you are saying play terrible so you can bring some new guy in here and possibly replace me or bench me"?

if anything, i would play harder to up my value so i can get traded or for my next contract.
