That is a shame because the kid has looked really damn good. Hopefully he heals up, they should just bench him for the season.

All I want for Christmas is a Laker girl :D

I don't care how talented and dominant he is. The guy cannot stay healthy. Can't build around that

I mean what good is his ability if he can only play 20 min a game and ends up missing 20 games to a season every year

Are you going to just keep Noel, saric and Simmons an essentially have embiid as a situational player?

Guy is unreliable unfortuantely. He's already sat out 2 years and now it's been made clear he'll probably do that more going forward

Glad he's someone elses problem

Praying for  1. Youngsters Ballin (Didn't really happen on a consistent basis at all) 2. Miracle Trade (Also didn't happen. And we traded our best player for chump change) 3. Kick Ass Rooks (Zubac exceeded, Ingram tried but disappointed overall)

READY FOR SEASON TO BE OVER!!!

Let's ask Joel how injured his knee is

And now we can ask the 76ers why they're tanking again :D

"Bryant had come to rage against the idea that Howard's clownish disposition could overtake the locker room, the Lakers' culture, and had warned Howard that he would never, ever let it happen."

Horrid news for us as well. Now we're for damn sure falling out of the top 3 with zero chance of keeping our pick.

yo.

I hope he gets over these injuries.

He has so much potential, I would love to see his career play out.

Yeah, but in terms of talent he's still head and shoulders above the rest of that draft class (Wiggins, Jabari, Gordon, Randle, Exum, Smart etc.). A good gamble at #3.

Head and shoulders is a stretch. He's a dynamic big but worth how many wins in 3 seasons?

Head and shoulders actually is a stretch as Jokic was selected in the 40s, but other than him i think Embiid is playing at a ridiculous level. He's got a case as a top 10 big man even as a rookie and his per-minute numbers are off the charts - 29ppg-11rpg-3apg-1stl-3.5blk, while playing elite defense and hitting 3s. He's got legit MVP/DPOY/HOF potential if he's healthy, which always will be the big question. The rest of the guys in the 2014 draft "only" have all-star potential. If that.

Don't NBA players get their meniscus repaired to avoid further damage to the knee?  The dancing is a bad look no doubt but he's a 21 year old kid putting up great numbers and is a possible franchise level talent on a team going nowhere this year.  Better to be safe than sorry.  I don't buy for a second that the Sixers are shutting him down to tank and get a better pick.  NFL players routinely play through meniscus tears so dancing to me is not some sign that he's faking or the Sixers are being deceptive.  Just being cautious.  He should use better judgement though.
