Since the Super Teams are here to stay and there are so many overpriced role players, should the league lose about 4 teams?

Imagine 60 of the worst players out the league. As well as the best players from those teams in a lottery.

I can see New Orleans, Charlotte, Memphis and Orlando gone.

It would strengthen the competitive balance and it would strengthen the D league.

And it would build a few more title contenders.

They are actually talking about expanding by 2 teams. The idea being is you dilute the talent to make super teams less likely becuase more max contracts means less multiple max contracts per team.

I really do like that idea about the d-league though. I always wish the D-League was more competitive.

Definitely in favor of Contraction and Expansions in sports. I'd be in favor of less teams in all the sports. Shorten regular season and expand playoffs. That would reinvigorate players and fans.

Too much money being made.

Taking away teams won't happen.  I'd venture to say it NEVER will.

The D-League needs to operate exactly like baseball minor league teams.  It's too loose of an affiliation with NBA partners at the moment.  If it can become an actual farm system for the NBA rather than a place for guys who can't make NBA teams to go to, it would help players and the league out a ton.
