Young teams don't finish games.

Yet, some want a draft pick and to get even younger. Mistake. Get the pick and trade it.

I'd seriously contemplate this idea
Package the pick, if kept, with either Deng or Mozgov and get future picks or a serviceable PG or back up SF

Amen Franklin!  That would be my move as GM.

Use the pick to get vet talent back and jettison Mozgov.  Deng has "some" use, although still an albatross contract.  But his leadership and demeanor is decent to have on board.  Mozgov serves no purpose.

First time the Jazz have ever swept the Lakers in a season - another proud moment for this team of complacency.

You're gonna give up a top 3 pick for a back up?

Say that to the develop-happy people.

It doesn't have to be a serviceable PG. It is basically to dump one of the 2 bad contracts the Lakers have in Deng or Mozgov. You're not getting jack for them straight up, so....

Solid?!  Solid?!  Clarkson is nowhere near solid and Williams is getting older and more disgruntled by the game.  By the time the young guys turn into something/anything (if they ever do) Williams is retired or has moved on.

The Lakers are solid at absolutely zero positions.

Who says the pick gets you one player in return?

More youth and more years in development hell ain't gonna make the Laker brass or majority of the fans happy whatsoever.  Youth ain't the answer.

Second worst team in the NBA and descending.  Something must be done.

You'd give up Ball/Fultz just to get rid of a contract that will be up in 3 years when we'd realistically won't be able to compete til then anyway?

Mozgov hasn't played well but I'm not sure why we are in such a hurry to shed his contract.

With nance and clarkson off the bench as well.

Also the lakers could focus on building around some of them and trade others.

Stars win rings, the CBA has made the draft pretty much the only way of acquiring a star.
