Damn Lou is super good at drawing that foul past the three line.  It's a helluva unique skill.

I say it because Russell ain't a leader.  He's an average guard put into a role and position he cannot play.  You have to admit this is an undeniably different team without Russell on the court.  The hustle is everywhere - and against a team they should be losing to.

6 man like I'm Lou Will! I love Lou man. One of the rare signings lately that has been money for us. I know he isn't much of a passer but he does his job which is get buckets.

Why would the pistons do that?

Good deal for the Wolves to rid themselves of Rubio.  All hype, no production.

I don't know my friend, they both injury prone, i think rubio fits the offense better since he is a pass 1st point guard, plus Reggie Jackson has that 80 million contract.

It is pretty common for a team to respond this way when a high usage player gets injured.

You don't see potential in Russell but it is certainly there. He needs time just like any other player. Ingram looks really good out there, but our future depends on them becoming a unit together.

I wouldn't much say that they have to become a unit together.  Any of the two young guys developing will do.  It doesn't have to be Russell in particular.  I think Ingram is a given to develop.  He's had more progress in three months than any of the other young guys have.  He's coming along quickly.

For me, Russell yields you much more in a deal if he's paired with an albatross contract (Mozgov or Deng).

I have a feeling Paul George days in Indiana are numbered, if they continue to stink like this, New Orleans would be a good place form him to play alongside Anthony Davis.

Why trade a player with potential when we are years away from competing?

Let the kid grow! If Ingram should control the offense, that's for Luke to figure out. Russell can play an off ball role. Shooting is what got him to the NBA. His confidence just isn't there right now but we've seen what he can do when he believes in his shot. Trading Russell would be a huge mistake.

I agree, he just doesn't play with any fervor or energy any more/  At least not what he used to play with even last season.

I'd love to see Paul George in L.A..

Agree to disagree.  I don't think it's huge mistake at all.

Why would he yield much more in a deal? thought he's just an average player?

He would yield you more because of perceived value.  If you can trade him early enough where people are still enamored with potential, you can get more for him.

To me, in the best case scenario, he's Nick Van Exel 2.0.

That is in no way the "best case scenario." That may be what you think he eventually ends up as but there's no way you think that he couldn't possibly be better than that.
