WEST

Stephen Curry

James Harden

Kevin Durant

Kawhi Leonard

Anthony Davis

EAST

Kyrie Irving

DeMar DeRozan

LeBron James

Giannis Antetokounmpo

Jimmy Butler

Russell Westbrook leads the league in scoring, second in assists and is averaging a freaking triple double but Steph gets the nod over him.

In a perfect world, Isaiah and Russ would be the starters but this is far from one. Everyone else I agree with as starters.

Westbrook gonna unleash his fury for 3rd consecutive Allstar MVP. He will get the nod as reserve.

Russ, Harden and Curry all tied for the 2 guard slots. The tie-breaker was most overall fan votes.

For what it's worth, the players overwhelmingly chose WB over Curry and the media also did to a lesser extent.

Both media and players selected Westbrook No.1 guard in the West. Harden was second in both, Curry was third.

lol thats ridiculous.

No way in hell Curry deserves the starting nod over Russell. Even Thomas deserves a starting spot.

Another reminder that ASG is not about who deserves to play.

Westbrook will get a triple double in the all-star game and win the MVP (in the game).

Westbrook nearly averaging a triple double and he isn't a starter.

At some point I hope the NBA will take the All-Star vote out of the fans' hands.  Every year it's more and more pointless.

Firstly. Its an exhibition for the fans.

Secondly. The fans don't account for anything but a tie breaker

Not true.  Fans votes determine the starters.

It does matter. A player could be a couple all star selections away from getting into the hall of fame. It's also a big plus when you're able to market a player as an all star.

What the NBA needs to do is format the All-Star game like the MLB and give the finals team homecourt advantage.

Naa I disagree with that particular reward, how about if a team made the finals and their all star didn't play in the game? I do agree with the notion that they should put some kind of reason for the guys to try and win, maybe a large sum of money or the MVP gets it in his city the next year.

Nope. Don't like that idea. Just go down the list of teams in the NBA each year. Drop the bidding. Go state to state, that way every fan gets to enjoy it in their own state

Not really...fans have a very tough time if they want all star game tix.

Season seat holders don't get their seats. Its given or sold to companies, sponsors, etc.

Very few go to fans...though i'd argue there are better ways to spend money if you're a fan

Praying for  1. Some Cohesion (Ill fitting parts with young bucks, new guys, and those playing for next contracts may muck things up all season) 2. Better Coaching, No More Tanking (Last season was more of the latter but not sure how much of the former we can count on. Walton with something to prove this season as much as any Laker player) 3. Rookie Watch (Hoping Lonzo outshines his daddy (ROTY??), and Kuzma finds minutes and makes a push for all rook 2nd team)

READY FOR SEASON!!!

Hell no to the home court advantage thing - a simply terrible idea.

In fact baseball is rescinding the whole idea this coming season.  That is absolutely awful to penalize a team's hard work based on a game that no player really gives a crap about.

I don't think people realize that the NBA All-Star game is not for fans (other than on TV and the stupid skills challenge b.s.).  As was said season ticket holders get shut out and most of the seats go to corporate sponsors or those who have cash the average fan gets nowhere near.
