I can almost guarantee his rookie defense would be better than Mozgov and his dumbfounded hands up no movement effort.

But he really didn't break him down.  And this is an aging Williams, yet he still wasn't past him.  He should be tearing him up.

I just don't get the fascination with Russell at all.

Damn dude we give up so many open 3's. This is easily supposed to be a 10 point game. How the game is played right now you can't give up open 3's. Those shots will always hurt you.

I feel like Lou plays every position when he's out there too.  he seems to be the only guy playing with any kind of enthusiasm every night.

Speaking for myself, I am not fascinated with Russell. I just like the move he did.
He has no lift on his jumper. Forget it, I can go on,but I don't want to

In his defense I would say we look better in games with him than without.

It's worse, cause he has no clue where he is on the court (yet). Game is way too fast for him right now, his defense is much worse than Moz's.

"Bryant had come to rage against the idea that Howard's clownish disposition could overtake the locker room, the Lakers' culture, and had warned Howard that he would never, ever let it happen."

Russell will never be an explosive athlete but that doesn't have to be a bad thing. He can get to most spots off a good pick because of his size. He routinely is in a good position whether it be from 15-17 feet or slightly below the FT stripe. I like how he used a Hardenlike  ripe move to draw contact to get the FT line. He should get at least 25 tonight based on the matchup.

Lol, Zubac would make Moz look like Gobert. He's not ready.

Please stop.

I'm only excited about Ingram at this point. Russell showed some signs early on but has actually gotten worse. I'm not sure why he's getting so comfortable playing like garbage. I'm not asking for a Westbrook type aggressiveness, but at least show some heart.

How about Randle? He's shown some maturation in his game this year.

Randle is who he is. I don't see all star potential in him like some, especially with that broken jumper. I think he's a hustle big who can score in the post. He can really contribute if he continues to learn how to make the right pass. He often searches for his own shot instead of that pass we all want to see.

If Nance can put together a healthy season then I wouldn't be surprised if he takes the staring spot and Randle is moved.

I think that All-Star level is only attainable if he fixes that broken jumper you mentioned. If he ever does he can easily average 18-20 a night because of his quick first step. He's still basically in his second year. I really believe that jumper will come around. His mechanics are not bad at all really. Nance becoming a starter is not impossible but I'd hate to see Randle be moved because I love his skillset.

SN: I voiced my concerns over the threes earlier in the thread and now the Mavs have 10. Our defense would be exponentially better if we simply limited opponents opportunities from deep.
