I get that we lost two of our best shooters, but how does that translate to absolutely zero ball movement?

Every play is a quick pick, the pick goes away, then we either turn it over on the pass or we force an awful shot. Where did all the movement go from earlier in the season?

This team is looking like Byron's right now :(

You answered your own question.

Defense doesn't have to play us the same way when the two best shooters aren't there to make them pay.  Got 2 or 3 people on this team capable of getting their own shot outside of  them and EACH benefited from having them on the court as the open option, which also made the spacing better.

Without that... it's not gonna wind up good.  Only when there's a semblance of what our bench was on the court.   But the starters aren't gonna find any rhythm till Russell is back, and even more till Nick's back.

Also note how the pick and roll has gone missing for Mozgov since D-lo's departure.  Defense doesn't have to worry about the guard killing them from mid and Moz isn't getting such easy dives and the spacing is skewed.  With Huertas in there now with no Calderon even, the D doesn't have to worry about a shot coming from anywhere.

Our entire offense is essentially going to be, what can Lou, what can Clarkson and what can Randle do on an island, till Russell is back.

"Bryant had come to rage against the idea that Howard's clownish disposition could overtake the locker room, the Lakers' culture, and had warned Howard that he would never, ever let it happen."

I don't agree. You can still avoid all this bull[expletive] iso forcing without Russell and Nick.

better second quarter.

Larry playing good defense. 8 TO in the 1st while allowing 43 points and Lakers are within 12.

Every single [expletive]ing shot by Deng is seemingly always short. So annoying.

Has Deng's game has really regressed thus much or is this a slump? He put up very solid numbers last year.

I would rather the Busses use the money they gave to Deng to open up a new Mexican restaurant. That would at least be worth the money.
