"Bryant had come to rage against the idea that Howard's clownish disposition could overtake the locker room, the Lakers' culture, and had warned Howard that he would never, ever let it happen."

This is a tougher game than it seems on paper.

No Randle or Russell but I hope we can pull out a W. Would be nice to be above .500 again.

The Pelicans have been better since Jrue Holiday returned.  They lost to Dallas, but so did we.

Davis goes off tonight.

Don't feed the trolls.

This is an important game for us, it's as important as the OKC game. We need to create a cushion because our next 3 games after this are going to be really tough.

Young team still learning each other's game but not solid on any defense very frustrating watching players letting drives to the hoop over and over. Then not guarding the three either, common. Play to the strength of your youth run run run. Let em drag it in the dust.

If the bench performs, and they usually do, it should be a W

If the lakers can ever figure out how to hold opponents closer to 20 points in first quarter rather than the 30 they almost always seem to give up, we will be a much better road team than we are currently.

Think we've only won 3 on road so we have work to do.

But we're young, have injuries, and will learn as we go hopefully.

Our defense worries me.

Offense seems fine for most part

Praying for  1. Some Cohesion (Ill fitting parts with young bucks, new guys, and those playing for next contracts may muck things up all season) 2. Better Coaching, No More Tanking (Last season was more of the latter but not sure how much of the former we can count on. Walton with something to prove this season as much as any Laker player) 3. Rookie Watch (Hoping Lonzo outshines his daddy (ROTY??), and Kuzma finds minutes and makes a push for all rook 2nd team)

READY FOR SEASON!!!

I think we can be a better defensive team than we've been so far but we're really capped in that area if you ask me.  Nance is solid but still still inexperienced.  Black is solid but undersized.  Ingram is solid but young and inexperienced.  Deng has clearly lost a step.  Everyone else on the roster is either young and offensive minded or old and offensive minded.  I really don't think our roster as currently constructed can be a good defensive team.  We can be good enough on most nights for our offense to carry us but that's about it.

Nice!

I read that and thought, boy i hope the laker players see this quote.

Exactly the kind of motivational inspiration this team could use, even though they are over achieving by any definition

What's the deal with the Pelicans finding journeyman point guards that actually produce?  Ish Smith last season and now Tim Frazier.
