Whole bunch of touch fouls down the stretch. Pretty annoying.

We would've gotten blown out last year if that counts as a moral victory then yeah

Anyways, we had our chances to win but missed some very easy shots. I just hope we can win at least one of these next three games on the road.

Young kids and mediocre veterans closing the game, terrible ending. But close game, that's a good thing. If D'angelo wants to be a leader, he needs to realize that when you're having a really bad game, you need to work and sacrifice.

Utah is just too good. I wouldn't be surprised if they're the third best team in the west of the Association.

Let's just hope Ingram is okay.

Also a moral victory in the notion that the players played with effort and got animated to the point they drew technical fouls.

On the surface people will point to the bad offense in the 3rd quarter.

But if you dig just a touch deeper, you'll realize it was the flailing, two seconds behind, hacking defense that lost the Lakers this game.  It got Utah in rhythm when they were out of it and that pushed momentum away from the Lakers.  The Jazz were nothing special this game - it was very winnable but the Lakers shot themselves in the foot by playing sloppy on the defensive end.

Offense sparks from defense.

Russell has to make the shots when it comes down to it because the ball is going to be in his hands. If Russell is indeed the superstar he's supposed to be, he needs to find a way to make that impact whether or not he's shooting well.

Utah doesn't impress me at all.

Wait what 3? i dont think i saw this part

The refs reviewed a Clarkson three, saw his foot out of bounds and took away all three points. I have never seen that happen before.

Well its one game only. You cant ask more from him when he actually got his teammates going and played somewhat ok defense.

He was out of bounds, it was the right call.

I sure wish Russell would break people down off the dribble or at least (some day) learn how to probe the defense with his dribble (a la Nash).  If he insists on driving into traffic and hanging on the perimeter, he's going nowhere fast.

For the superstar status, he's still 3-4 years away anyway. Would be 23-24 by then.

I agree. If they don't go in, go to work. That's leadership. But I will give a pass on all the kids this season.

On a different note, Lakers have 3 more away games before playing GS at home. Harsh schedule.

They're a young team, any schedule would be harsh.

If they can pull one win on this road trip, I'd almost consider that an achievement.

Nick Young is most likely to guard Westbrook.

Happy for Young after what he's gone through with Byron but he's gonna be eaten alive, especially with Westbrook's postgame interview lol.
