Just saw an NBC sports article highlighting a sportsbook in Vegas picks for games won by each team for next season.

Wolves were the big surprise for me at 41.

Lakers were 24.5 (only nets were lower)

*sigh*

I'll try and find that link...

Praying for  1. Some Cohesion (Ill fitting parts with young bucks, new guys, and those playing for next contracts may muck things up all season) 2. Better Coaching, No More Tanking (Last season was more of the latter but not sure how much of the former we can count on. Walton with something to prove this season as much as any Laker player) 3. Rookie Watch (Hoping Lonzo outshines his daddy (ROTY??), and Kuzma finds minutes and makes a push for all rook 2nd team)

READY FOR SEASON!!!

So then, we may be keeping the 2017 pick, as well.

Maybe it's the fan in me but I've been thinking we're a 25-30 win team so I'm going to take the over (and I like to gamble lol).

I can totally see us hitting the under obviously because this is a young team without a star in their prime right now, new coach, new system etc but my gut reaction before seeing the odds was at least 25 wins.

We won 17 games last year and obviously there's no perfect math to this but I feel that Kobe/Byron were worth about 5 losses alone, which really makes us a 23 win team last year. Adding Mozgov, Deng and Calderon in addition to our young guys getting better would have to be worth at least 2 wins.

Not bad, I had the Lakers at 25 wins this coming season, looks like I'm in line with Vegas.

I'll stick with 25 and take the over.

24.5 is pretty close, but a lot of wins depend on Mozgov and Deng as well as the development of Randle, Clarkson, Russell etc. It could be 35, but also 20.

Russell in year 4 imo will start to move the needle in terms of Ws And Ls. By then Ingram will nearly be entering his prime years.
That's probably when we will be a playoff team.

If Mosgov is at his best, he would probably be our most effective starter this year or perhaps Clarkson.

Unless Deng is the Finals MVP Iggy of the team , and we shoot better than most teams,we still will be a top pick candidate. I think we can be an effective team but more effective than older teams, I don't think we are there yet

At 35 wins, most of us would rightfully be giddy.

Even 'impressed' I'd say. (assuming we make no trades that completely upend the roster)

At the very least, its a new and different team for sure.

Will fans stick around? Some will. Some won't.

LA fans are generally pretty awful.

How many new fans will we grow?

Its up to the youngins
