Wow, wasnt expecting this. Maybe they dont have any in mind so they just gave it to blue. Good for him

I was expecting him or Wear. Who knows if or was because of Hart getting injured. Happy for him though.

Signing Vander Blue doesn't make any sense. By the way, Nick Young having a huge game for GS right now with 6/7 3s.

Im in favor of Zu getting minutes over Bogut...

Can't think of any scenario likely to unfold this season where it makes more sense to play Bogut.

Lopez goes down, I'm starting Bogut, not Zubac....not even close, IMHO.

I am even thinking of using Bogut around 18 and Lopez around 30. So even if Lopez does not go down, we should use Bogut before Zu.

Exactly... Zu is simply too raw.

We can still develop Zu but we have no reason to do it at the expense of trying to win games.  No pick, No Tank.

A few notes from the last game.

Randle is much better than Nance and he should be starting.

Clarkson is the same player he's always been and they should look to move him because...

...Josh Hart might be a better option.

Ennis isn't any good and we really need a reliable back-up PG.

I disagree on some points. While Randle is by far the better player than Nance, no question about that, he has been succesful with that second unit, he has embraced the role and is pretty productive. When he's a starter the story is different.

JC is probably our most consistent scorer right now. Josh Hart is good, he demostrates good basketball IQ but moving him ahead of Clarkson ? Come on now ..

This is what everybody does on this board. Give out ow opinions after a handful of games

I like Hart. He is undersized though. JC is what he has always been, a scorer and that's something the Lakers need. Hart is smart and plays very well. I like what Randle is right now. Either they keep him or trade him because at this point, he value will go up in the league. So it's a win win of you can call it that

My thinking is all our guys look a lot better if we have even 1 superstar.

Consistency isn't there

Shot selection often suspect

No good shooters, but lots of guys who can get shots

Really bad turnovers far too often

But for sure some guys to be really excited about

(Ingram, Ball, Kuzma, Hart)

Praying for  1. Some Cohesion (Ill fitting parts with young bucks, new guys, and those playing for next contracts may muck things up all season) 2. Better Coaching, No More Tanking (Last season was more of the latter but not sure how much of the former we can count on. Walton with something to prove this season as much as any Laker player) 3. Rookie Watch (Hoping Lonzo outshines his daddy (ROTY??), and Kuzma finds minutes and makes a push for all rook 2nd team)

READY FOR SEASON!!!

I'm also disappointed with Lopez, been expecting more of him on half court offense. Randle's been better at almost everything so far.

I think one of our issues is that we have a lot of guys that are capable of making 3s, but none that are all that good at it.

I thinks it obvious to the blind what this young team needs; its needs a solid consistent proven star who can lead them, guide them and who can take over when the [expletive] gets tough.

A Lebron or even PG would do wonders with this this team, I would say had we had Bron now we would be 4-2.

Sure.

Lebron would be fantastic, ditto for George. I really like the idea of Boogie as well. In either case, when you consider this team PLUS two max deals i think we could be pretty dangerous going forward.

Currently, i think our biggest issue is that we are missing shots. We’re shooting about 28% as a team which is awful. Lonzo, Kuzma, Lopez, KCP and Hart all shoot in the 20s. Ingram at 30 and Randle at 33 is ok and Clarkson is the only one shooting a bit better than his usual numbers. Assuming these guys shoot closer to career numbers or league average (which would be a fair assumption) we should be hitting about 2 more 3s per game on the same attempts, which would bump our offense about 6 ppg and take us from about the 20th offense to about 10th.

Amazingly our defense has been slightly above average – which is better than ”horrible”, which i expected.
