Welcome back Luke.

The key lies within his staff... his assistants are going to be critical.

I dig it.

Luke's a good coach. Smart guy, rooted in TODAY's basketball landscape. I imagine he'll hire some veterans on the bench to help ease him along.

I just hope this isn't a precursor to Phil.

Harrison Barnes?

Again, zero chance the Warriors make any sort of roster change to their rotation this offseason

Says a lot that Luke was hired the same week he interviewed and the Lakers took nearly 3 months and 3 interviews to offer Byron the job. Wow.

Their minds must have been made up in January.

Anyways, this is a good hire. Not sure how anyone can knock it. Excited for the off-season and the rest of the coaching staff.

They will be at about 73 mill in cap space. Harrison could get what Green got.. 15-17 mill from GS... but if somebody max him, will they match... knowing they have Ezili, Speights and Livingston to resign... hmmmm

Livingston is already signed up for next season. Speights and Barbosa will take tiny contracts to stay. They have Ezeli's Bird Rights I believe, he was a first round pick in 2012.

If anyone offers Barnes a max deal the Warriors should just laugh and let him walk. That would such a bad deal for any organization, they'd have to do it with the intention of tanking ahah.

Happy with the Luke hire, even though I would prefer to have Messina. Think he will connect with the young guys well, and he has a good basketball head on his shoulders. He will grow with this team, and we have the cap space to put a solid roster together that hopefully he can implement a system to maximize our roster and help the growth of these young fellas.

All I want for Christmas is a Laker girl :D

Great hire. Luke or Ollie were the ones that made the most sense. Best move the Lakers have made in years.
