Simmons will obviously help (Ingram is a two to three year project while he gets his adult body). However, I don't think Simmons is a "savior" by any stretch.  He has a lot of work to do.  Yet again the Lakers will be banking on the lottery gamble.

This is the rabbit hole I was on about three years ago, that everyone railed on me for (and I'm sure everyone will continue to).  This is not an easy thing to get out of, this rut the Lakers have put themselves in.

It will be a woke for a while. About 4 to 5 years, wouldn't you say? Just thinking back to like when they first got Shaq... that was a 6 or 7 yr gap?

And a competent team.

Along with a different coach, players who don't quit and pout will be fun to see someday.

Although to be fair....players lasted longer than we did.

Who among us didn't pretty much quit mid season or earlier?

Praying for  1. Some Cohesion (Ill fitting parts with young bucks, new guys, and those playing for next contracts may muck things up all season) 2. Better Coaching, No More Tanking (Last season was more of the latter but not sure how much of the former we can count on. Walton with something to prove this season as much as any Laker player) 3. Rookie Watch (Hoping Lonzo outshines his daddy (ROTY??), and Kuzma finds minutes and makes a push for all rook 2nd team)

the players probably weren't aware of how awful the team look during games.  Fans watching games wants entertainment, not a freak show.  Winning is fun, playing right basketball is exciting, Lakers wasn't either of those, so you really can't blame the fans.

There no pure haters or pure fans.  It's just the ignorant and the observant.  The pure haters and pure fans are the ignorant, while the rest are the less observant or the more observant.
