Umm Russell's mid range is already nice as a rookie.

The offense is established by the coach. Spacing is terrible, iso heavy with very minimal off ball movement, offense ends after the initial pick and roll.

These things are not the players fault.

If Byron was smart, he'd emphasize this young team's strengths and have them run opposing teams ragged.. But that's a big if

Hibbert has pretty much become useless at this point. Guy just doesn't work in todays game.

You are asking a no-child-left-behind-project to do calculus.  That's asking for too much.

Again. Show me one example of a group centered around a core as young as ours that runs an offense that creates problems for other teams.

Teams that are usually called young has core guys 2-3 years older than ours on average.
This isn't a good offense. But show me the top 17 offenses and I'm sure they don't have 4 rookies who play regularly

Jones might be the backup point guard next season.

DRuss, JC, and Randle are the only young kids that play regularly. The rest are veterans.

This isn't a good offense.

So then you agree. Are you trolling me? Arguing for argument sake.

The offense takes 12 second to initiate the play whether its young players or superstars. I believe its the same case with all Byron's teams. It usually tends to be less strict when the players get familiar with the sets. The offense is useless but its variation and some play sets are ok and lots of teams use it ( GSW for example)

On a different note, Russell got to use his legs better in the post. Strength comes from upper body when he fades ( or semi fade).
