http://espn.go.com/b...-we-just-sucked

oh the irony of gold fish memory.

"We just sucked," Scott said of his team's defense. "Simple as that."

Find that quote where he says, we suck. Playing with no heart is something that I've seen.

1 game doesnt prove the point though.  He also has praised Jokic is a great player.  Bottom line is I dont really care much for Byron's comments on players vs the his approach to the game.  Phil was the ultimate [expletive] but he wasn't naive about where the game was headed.  My frustration also doesnt even lie with Byron, more so the people that actually hired him and thought he was a great option.

Byron is the same coach that coached a team that lost 26 games straight.

He has a .412 W%, lowest winning % out of all coaches that have coached more than 1000 games.

Strength does not come from physical capacity. It comes from an indomitable will.

Exactly what I do to 3/4 of your posts, which come right after Byron's post game quotes.

Oh yeah I'm totally sure they enjoy losing every single game. You're comparing a 20 year veteran, one of the best to take the court to a bunch of first and second year kids. Seriously? What do you expect? "Best versions of themselves", in 1-2 seasons? Lol, please. I'm sure they're working to improve themselves, but there is more to it than that.

yeah and smiling and joking is not part of "more than that" it's really not a difficult concept to grasp. I expect the same thing kobe expects, being absolutely pissed off at the season.. did you see kobe smiling and joking in his younger years when we didn't have a championship season? did you see fisher, odom.. even parker laughing? just curious, being young has nothing to do with it. If they were too young to give a damn about their attitudes toward a lost then they shouldn't have been playing.

On Wiggins no less.

"Bryant had come to rage against the idea that Howard's clownish disposition could overtake the locker room, the Lakers' culture, and had warned Howard that he would never, ever let it happen."

Kobe was serious after the win too. Not celebrating himself bit focusing on the team turning a corner.

kobe wants his replacement(s) to carry the lakers legacy on.. i.e.. rings or go broke. That was part of the reason he called them out as the yare supposed to be the face of the franchise going forward.

Putting the young guns in check is vintage Kobe, but you can tell at his old age he doesn't have the energy to put up with it every game

LOL...if you wanted people that gave a blank, you SHOULD have taken less money, breh...

You're making almost 4 times what those 2 make...COMBINED...

Let it go...Byron sucks, the FO doesn't care...you get your send-off year.  Let it go...

To be honest, what does it matter?  Like who CARES what Kobe says?  He's gone in less than 3 months...if the Front Office trades Randle or DR based on what Kobe says or thinks, they are STUPID and deserve to lose the franchise to a forced buyout, pennies on the dollar...

why should he have taken less money? Has lebron? Kobe was coming off some career numbers and was playing almost mvp level. Lakers had more than enough money to sign good do layers more than enough and could have signed a better coach. It would be entirely asinine for him to take a make paycut.

Kobe will be gone next season and he just wants his teammates to develop a cutthroat attitude about winning.

The current Lakers roster are seeing this as a vacation time and getting paid to just go out there and lose but Kobe sees it otherwise. For Kobe to still care even if they're the last place team in the Western Conference proves just how much of a legend he is.

Kobe himself could just give no [expletive] at all and laugh along with these current youngsters but he's not going out like that.

Kobe will respect the Lakers and support the franchise long after he's gone from the game. He will be there to cheer for the team, support the team, give advice to the team and raise up the team.

Randle and D'Angelo is laughing after a loss and I'm glad Kobe grilled them for being two stupid kids.

Kobe has laughed after losses all season. He doesn't care about wins or losses anymore. He is just enjoying his farewell tour.
