Playing as Cloud on PS4 is just gonna be amazing. The video looked a little choppy during the combat, hopefully that was just a bad record of the game, other than that it looks like its gonna be one hell of a game.

I haven't played an FF in a long time, looks like its not turn based combat during battle sequences?

wow, had to watch without volume, but from what I can tell, it looks like they changed the battle system...interesting...I'm sure I'll love this game either way...

Yea I think the turn based FF games we used to know and love have seem to go by the waste side. My guess is the majority of gamers now want faster pace action, I mean god forbid if the kids had to think of some strategy to play the game. FF has been more and more away from turned based action over the past few years so it shouldn't be that much of a surprise. I think the biggest reason for the change though is that turn based games really can't take advantage of amazing hardware like an action game can. I think devs would feel like they would be limiting themselves to turn based animations, but I would imagine a turn based game on the new hardware would probably have great graphics fidelity since all that would need to be rendered is pretty much on rails during the battle.

There was a summons option on the bottom left of the HUD during the combat sequence

Haven't been interested in or played a JRPG since ps2, but this [expletive] looks tight

I think it's still going to be turn based. Looks like it since they have the defend option. If it was an ARPG like Kingdom Hearts or Dark Souls then you just block with L1 or something. The graphics are glorious. It's not going to be a true remake so I'm sure that they are going to keep Aeris alive this time.

Her death is too important to the story. She has to die.

I'll be romancing Tifa anyway :P

I thought they said that they would not stay true to the story which is why I thought things might get changed.

they released a port of the original FFVII for PS4

apparently they've added some cheats to make it easier for people who've played though it already -

speed up the game x3

toggle random encounters

restore all health and fill up limit breaks

they make videogames too easy these days...lol
