Completely agree. Saw it a couple of days ago myself. Wasn't expecting too much going in, but I was really pleasantly surprised. It's getting great reviews as well and deservedly so. Great acting, great fight scenes, and solid story. Stallone's still got it as well even at his age.

I've been watching parts of the Rocky series all night, actually, lol...just finished Rocky IV (my personal favorite).  I'm going to see Creed next weekend.

Please do give your review.  I think it's a classic. As in Oscar worthy.  As in what people said the 1st Rocky was.

"Bryant had come to rage against the idea that Howard's clownish disposition could overtake the locker room, the Lakers' culture, and had warned Howard that he would never, ever let it happen."

I enjoyed the Creed movie.  Thought Stallone was solid.  Was glad to see the story continue and acknowledge Rocky 3/4 (which are my favorites).  Michael B. Jordan was much better than Tommy Morrison ha..

Was not the classic rocky 1 was nor does/will it have the cultural significance rocky 1 had but it's a damn good movie that was one of the best I've seen this year

Well acted, well directed. Stallone deserves a nomination as does coogler. For me the best in the franchise since rocky also some of the most exhiliratinh fight scenes I've seen in a boxing film

Yea as if people didn't already ignore Rocky V, this finally solidifies Rocky as a mentor and full circle as Mickey. Saw first 4 during the weekend, IV being my favorite since it to me is the most motivational although III is up there as well. Probably watch Creed after the semester is over.

i think i'd have to re watch some of the older ones to make a list, but this immediately shot up to no less than 2nd place behind the original rocky.  i'm a big fan of IV.  the camera work on that first fight was incredible.  acting and story was solid.

i have the blueray set of the first 6 movies, will definitely purchase this one as soon as i can

side note, i saw creed yesterday at the arclight in sherman oaks and my gf ran into anne hathaway in the restroom and chatted with her about how good the movie was while they were waiting in line, without letting her know she realized shew as anne hathaway.  she texted me as i was waiting outside, so i saw her walk by

Great movie... especially for $6.

Great movie, really touching in some aspects

I honestly see this as a better film than The Revenant. But like I said before, I expect that movie to take home the awards this season, and Leo best actor, because of all the other times he's been robbed.  What sucks is that it's the weakest movie of the ones he should have won for, and there are stronger movies than The Revenant out this year.   But Leo will get it because "it's his turn".  when it should have been, years ago.

Enjoyed it more than I thought I would. Wonder if it could get a best picture nomination.
