4th offseason

2013 summer - after draft - had pin taken out of foot

2014 summer - after 1st season, he was injured, spent offseason recovering - could've worked on mechanics.  Injury to Fibula, not a load bearing bone and full 9 months from injury.

2015 summer - not injured, worked on J

2016 summer - not injured, worked on J

2017 summer - not injured, worked on J

2013 summer was where we lost Dwight and Kobe was recovering from his Achillies. We hadn't drafted Randle yet.

2014 summer was when we drafted Randle.

2015 summer was when he was rehabbing the entire offseason.

----

2016 summer was his first offseason after a full year of NBA experience. Luke's first summer as a coach.

2017 summer is where we are now.

So Majesty isn't really wrong here. That said, I'd like to see him commit more to setting screens and playing defense. I feel the jumper will come eventually, even though he'll never be elite at it.

"Bryant had come to rage against the idea that Howard's clownish disposition could overtake the locker room, the Lakers' culture, and had warned Howard that he would never, ever let it happen."

I don't really care about all the technical stuff. If Randle just plays smart and under control, Im good

Same. Him, Curtis Mayfield and Gil Scott-Heron was what I woke up to whenever my dad was playing his albums, with some Earth Wind and Fire and Frankie Beverly and Maze.  That and many others was my childhood soundtrack thanks to my parents and my dad's album collection.   Got to actually see Gil perform a few years ago a few months before he passed away, was magical, he still had it and I feel very fortunate to have seen it.

GCMD, that Kobe story you posted is reminiscent of 'Whiplash'. What an animal. Kobe loved insanity.

Overheard from Randle after a couple hours getting some shots up...

"You'd think those no nothing a-hole posters over at lakernation could maybe give me my own F-ing thread by now"

Praying for  1. Some Cohesion (Ill fitting parts with young bucks, new guys, and those playing for next contracts may muck things up all season) 2. Better Coaching, No More Tanking (Last season was more of the latter but not sure how much of the former we can count on. Walton with something to prove this season as much as any Laker player) 3. Rookie Watch (Hoping Lonzo outshines his daddy (ROTY??), and Kuzma finds minutes and makes a push for all rook 2nd team)

READY FOR SEASON!!!

You are correct about 2013...thanks for the correction.

2014 was the 1st offseason (after the draft) where he had the pin taken out.

2015 was the summer 9 months after breaking his leg...there was NO REASON he could not have worked on his shooting 9 months later.  It doesn't take 9 months to walk or shoot.

2016

2017 offseason - This is the 3rd offseason, not 2nd like Majesty said.  If you want to ignore 2015, that's your choice...it would not be supported by medical advice.

Don't think he can. We could start a new Randle mega thread. And lock this one.
