2014 summer - after 1st season, he was injured, spent offseason recovering - could've worked on mechanics. Injury to Fibula, not a load bearing bone and full 9 months from injury.
2015 summer - not injured, worked on J
2016 summer - not injured, worked on J
2017 summer - not injured, worked on J
2013 summer was where we lost Dwight and Kobe was recovering from his Achillies. We hadn't drafted Randle yet.
2014 summer was when we drafted Randle.
2015 summer was when he was rehabbing the entire offseason.
2016 summer was his first offseason after a full year of NBA experience. Luke's first summer as a coach.
2017 summer is where we are now.
So Majesty isn't really wrong here. That said, I'd like to see him commit more to setting screens and playing defense. I feel the jumper will come eventually, even though he'll never be elite at it.
