Team will be better than last year...that said, they aren't getting anywhere close to a playoff spot.  I say 30 wins...tops.

Lin could still come back. Byron would probably want Lou to play SG like he did in the past with the Raptors and Hawks and move Nick to SF. Then again, you don't need a true PG in the Princeton Offense.

If Lin wants to come back for 2.8 million that's cool with me.

On another note, the "Loooooouuuuuuuu" chants will be back at Staples, haven't had those since, "Luuuuukkkkke", "Luuuuuuueeeee", and the original "Cooooooop" :)

Good contract, but bad fit, especially with Kobe and Nick. Also worried about how Russell's development is affected by this.

Nobody cares about Nick. Williams is a 6th man so why would it effect Russell? Williams will more than likely back up Russell at the 1 and Clarkson at the 2 in rotations.

Seems like he likes that short corner three, I can see him as a recipient of a lot of Russell drive and dish passes.

He makes some pretty tough shots to get 3PPs. Also has a surprising amount of bounce going to the rim, finishing with two-hand dunks through defenders from time to time.

hey

Clarkson and Russell start with Kobe moved to the 3,  Lou is backup 1, Nick is backup 2 or 3.

There you have it.

Again, why would you want to trade Nick Young when you could have TWO scorers off the bench that wouldn't need to iso as much because they'd have each other?

If Young isn't there then Lou is going to be iso'ing all day, which if you've watched the Raptors you'd know is entertaining but not what we'd want him to do.

I'd much rather have Lou and Nick working together and getting high percentage shots that aren't contested 90% of the time. Then both are more efficient and we benefit from having both scorers on our bench and we'd have them both long term for the next 3-4 years. I'm all for that.

[expletive] no. Hell no. I would rather we let Brown play than Young.

Nice pick-up for the price. Surprised he wasn't snatched up by another team earlier.

Really don't know if Young and Lou would work well together so I could definitely see a Young trade happening. Then again, they may be given a shot to play together and it'd work out really well.

If the Lakers can trade Young for a defensive SF then you do it without hesitation.

The Lakers drafted 2 defensive SF's already.

Amen. Nick Young and Wes Johnson get way too much love from some Lakers fans.

I hate the smirky looks on their face as if their good or something Lakers down by 20 and these 2 clowns ( swaggy & wesley) are always smirking like it's fun to lose never take game seriously. Get these garbage players out of town and out of the league!!!

Young actually has a somewhat reasonable contract (5 mil per). I'm sure they're shopping him - not sure how much interest there is, but he could be key for a team needing scoring off the bench.

Lou and Young off the bench for scoring would be our best scenario.  Neither would be the sole offensive option, thus, there wouldn't be so many iso's. Which could lead to a more efficient year for both of them.

And we'd benefit :D
