Interesting that he loves to go left but shoots right handed.  I don't mean that in a good or bad way I just find it interesting.

That's fairly common. I'm the same way. It's easier to pull up going left, then going right....much easier

[expletive] playing Nick Young and Lou Williams together. Trade Young now. I don't want him anywhere near our bench.

Nick Young is a small forward, Williams is 6'1"... My opinion fwiw, is Kobe will start at sf and Nick will back up Kobe .

I think we could be reasonably competitive if we fill out the roster. Bring Hill and Young back

We stunk last year, but Kobe and Randle were out, and we had a flimsy bench. This is starting to look like a bb team, kids and all.

I agree we're definitely starting to resemble a complete team.  However, IMO a 20-25 win improvement and a playoff berth is completely unrealistic.

Williams breaking down the defense and making them pay from mid, getting the defense to over commit, kicks it out to a wide open Nick Young spotting up for 3(where he is most efficient, spotting up).

That's how I'd see it going, as I don't think Williams is gonna get many three point opportunities thrown his way, which is why him playing the backup 1 for us makes sense.

We can make this work extremely well, we definitely have the pieces to.

Amen. Nick Young and Wes Johnson get way too much love from some Lakers fans.

Again, why would you want to trade Nick Young when you could have TWO scorers off the bench that wouldn't need to iso as much because they'd have each other?

If Young isn't there then Lou is going to be iso'ing all day, which if you've watched the Raptors you'd know is entertaining but not what we'd want him to do.

I'd much rather have Lou and Nick working together and getting high percentage shots that aren't contested 90% of the time.  Then both are more efficient and we benefit from having both scorers on our bench and we'd have them both long term for the next 3-4 years.  I'm all for that.

You guys may think I'm reaching here but if the Lakers can obtain a decent and serviceable 3 guard, they may be able to chase the 8th seed.

Of course, the health of Kobe, as well as the success of our rookies is a huge factor towards the success of this team, but I think it's possible.

I have a feeling this means Young is being traded to the pacers.

^ This.  I was wondering why Lou was still available... dude is the reigning 6th man of the year, and also allows Kobe to slide to the 3 when he wants to work in the post. Lou will be open all day.

Don't stress over it.

Need to win 47-50 games at the least IMO in the rough West.

The problem is that not only would we have to be extremely fortunate but other teams would have to be equally unfortunate.  Literally a dream scenario.

I would rather trade Nick Young for a defensive SF who doesn't need to chuck up shots to score. Young is too inconsistent and also not a great defender. Give me a defensive minded SF who also can contribute 5-7 points without taking a bunch of stupid shots.

Welcome Lou Williams! Didn't watch many Raptors games, but all I can remember is asking myself,"Who is this Lou guy that keeps torching us?" everytime he'd play the Lakers. Keep working those phones Mitch.

I highly doubt it being in the western conference. If this team was in the east then I could see them battling for the 8th spot with a healthy season.
