I mentioned this is the Gameday thread but stu said he messed up his middle finger really bad in the Nets game. Has been effecting him since. Though you would think a guy with a messed up finger wouldn't be asked to be our main scorer. Should just be limited to half his regular time hotel the finger heals. No point in forcing up bad shots.

I side with Byron on this. MWP has played relatively well so far and raised the defensive intensity. So he has a spot with the second unit. Same with young. So who you going to take out of the rotation to play hurertas ? Lou is having a bad stretch but he's too valuable to cut him off. I'm confident once he gets back to his former self he'll do a lot of damage off the bench.

Except Byron Scott is our coach.

It's early, but Lou not living up to that contract nor sixth man of the year accolade so far.

There was a stat put up (maybe the NY game?) that lou Will and Nick were like 4th in duo's scoring off the bench. Not bad. Could be better sure

Praying for  1. Some Cohesion (Ill fitting parts with young bucks, new guys, and those playing for next contracts may muck things up all season) 2. Better Coaching, No More Tanking (Last season was more of the latter but not sure how much of the former we can count on. Walton with something to prove this season as much as any Laker player) 3. Rookie Watch (Hoping Lonzo outshines his daddy (ROTY??), and Kuzma finds minutes and makes a push for all rook 2nd team)

READY FOR SEASON!!!

^ Young has surprisingly been pretty efficient so far, but Lou of course, not so much.

Young is more efficient in part because of Lou.

I just think about our post title playoff teams. They would have killed for this bench.

Let's face it neither Lou nor Nick play enough to get into  a good rhythm night in and out. I also do not believe we will end the year with Lou, Clarkson and Nick all on our roster. If we do, it will not matter next year as Kobe will be gone and more minutes will be available. Right now we have 4 guys who naturally play the 2 guard position. That's dumb

I really think they're shopping Clarkson right now. Buy low, sell high. He's a good player but I think he has almost maxed out his potential.

Been in the league 1 year,  almost maxed out his potential.

Lou Williams is a great trade chip for his contract. But so was Jordan Hill, or Nash or any other player we had.

Not gonna count on FO to trade him for youth + pick.

Nash was never healthy enough to trade.
Hill ALWAYS got hurt around trade deadline. He was only here 2 years before we gave him the contract.

You think the Lakers were holding on to those guys and teams coveted them?
I don't understand how you could really believe that
