Yahoo Sources: Pacers finalizing terms on a trade to send center Roy Hibbert to the Lakers. Hibbert's been informed he's headed to Lakers.

That pick could be part of this team's future though. But I'm guessing it's just a second rounder.

I was hoping we'd get a pick like when we absorbed Lin's contract from Houston. Oh well...

Could be a second round pick in 2020 for all we know.

Lakers take Hibbert's $15.5M salary into space, likely send combo of 2nd round pick(s) and overseas players rights. @JeffZillgitt first.

Good... Coz we already picked up our lucky 2nd round pick in jordan clarkson so they can have those 2. Its prolly a pick in the year 2030 so who cares

Sources: Final issue still being worked out in trade -- fiitting Hibbert's 15 percent trade kicker into Lakers room. Sides working that out.

We have plenty of room though unless we are about to get someone else.

Trade kicker is $2.3M bonus Pacers pay Hibbert -- but impacts Lakers salary cap. No deal can be completed until July 9. Time to complete it.

Lakers angling to preserve as much salary cap space as possible -- and bring on HIbbert in the deal. Sides believe it'll get worked out.

Not a bad deal imo overpaid but his $15.5M + Kobe's $24M both come off the books next year. So we can have almost $40M in room to sign (or not) free agents next year. Two max players can team up in L.A. with our rookie crop, even our front office can't mess that pitch up right?

This leaves us with a meager 5M to absorb. No one is going to send a 1st rounder to unload just 5M. If we send our 2016 2nd rounder, there's a good chance it's going to be an early 2nd rounder

he's an expiring big man this is a good deal

What's an expiring contract like this worth when the cap is going to rise some 20M next season?

If it's for 2nd rounders and international players, it's a good deal.

Hibbert is still great rim protector and a great fit next to randle.
