Brown is a little guy? 6'7 with a 7 foot wingspan is little... Lol alright

"Bryant had come to rage against the idea that Howard's clownish disposition could overtake the locker room, the Lakers' culture, and had warned Howard that he would never, ever let it happen."

Lakers backcourt size with Russell Clarkson is impressive

Lol at people who said Russell isn't 6-5. Guy is clearly 6-5. That's our future right there and I believe it's an exciting one

Kobe's actually 5'9" but he extends his bionic legs before games.

There's no point in getting him then.
Nance and Brown stealing his minutes. I'd rather not deal with him for half a season prior.
I'd rather just roll with Russell / Clarkson / Kobe
as the 1,2 and 3.    If Russell comes around like we hope and Larry Nance Jr and Anthony Brown start to do well enough to earn the starting position then we'd just move Kobe to the 2 and one of them to the 3.

larry-nance-jr-threw-down-a-vicious-dunk
Yes.. I'll stick with waiting on this guy to come around.  And as he was a senior, it's expected that he 'may' come around sooner more than later.   He hopefully couldn't do any worse than Wright was doing with his 12 mins off the bench and 37% shooting.   At least not when he's up to NBA speed.  Considering his was defensive player of the year.
Our lineup if he comes around would be the essential one
D'angelo Russell
Kobe Bryant
Larry Nance Jr.
Julius Randle
Roy Hibbert
Bench:
Lou Williams
Jordan Clarkson
Nick Young
Anthony Brown
Tarik Black

That works just fine for what we'd need off the bench and starting for the defensive purposes.
OR if Anthony Brown who was a sniper from deep and a supreme shooter as well as a good defender.  It can go like this
D'angelo Russell
Kobe Bryant
Anthony Brown
Julius Randle
Roy Hibbert
Bench:
Lou Williams
Jordan Clarkson
Nick Young
Larry Nance Jr.
Tarik Black
yes.. that seems more favorable imo.   With the kind of shooter Brown is, him getting wide open threes from Kobe, Russell and Randle would be gravy.

Yeah....
Here's also Brown with Stanley Johnson AND RHJ defending him

why do so many of you want to toss Clarkson on to the bench?

No matter what Maj says, IMO we still need a veteran SF. I think Dorell Wright would fit in that role just fine. Until the rookies show something and maybe earn the starting spot.

Dorrell wright would be worse than Wes as a starter.

And that's saying something.

"Bryant had come to rage against the idea that Howard's clownish disposition could overtake the locker room, the Lakers' culture, and had warned Howard that he would never, ever let it happen."

I seriously think the idea is to simply run Kobe at the three than find a SF next season when Kobe is gone.

The Lakers announce that have officially signed Anthony Brown, the 34th overall pick in the 2015 NBA Draft, to a multi-year contract.

Added Anthony Brown to roster.

I hear the Lakers paid Anthony Brown over the minimum, he in turn agreed to a third year - still working on exact details

They must really want to lock this guy down. Maybe they see something in him.

since Kobe will be playing some SF

Russell

Clarkson / Williams

Bryant / Brown / Nance

Randle / Nance (small ball) / Black

Hibbert / Black / Upshaw / Sacre

Odd man out Young,Kelly, Sacre. In need of a PG for the bench.

Rather trade Young for a true SF or true PG (Bench)

Is this Lakers squad equipped to make the playoffs?

Lakers GM Mitch Kupchak: “It’s a little early, but I would say yes."

Kupchak on first LaMarcus Aldridge meeting: "I don’t think the meeting was bad as people have heard it was…nor do I think it was as good as we hoped it would be. So I would just say live and learn. We [will] learn how to improve our presentation."

Mike Bresnahan ‏@Mike_Bresnahan
Brandon Bass was signed with regular cap space, meaning Lakers still have $2.8 million "room exception" to sign a free agent, Kupchak said.

We signed Randle minutes before the first summer league game. I expect the same to happen with Russell.
