While the Lakers have already been linked to LaMarcus Aldridge and Kevin Love, current Memphis Grizzlies center Marc Gasol is set to enter free agency as well. However, Mike Bresnahan of the Los Angeles Times shares Gasol has no interest in signing with Los Angeles:

"Marc Gasol has no interest in the Lakers because of the uneasy last few years his brother spent with them, according to numerous people familiar with the situation."

While Pau found great success when he first arrived in Los Angeles with two championships in three consecutive seasons, the later seasons were filled with trade rumors. In 2011, the two-time champion was part of the failed Chris Paul trade and his name seemed to be brought up constantly during the trade deadline.

Too bad, now the only guy I wanted is Lamarcus Aldridge but I'm sure he's not gonna fit with us or help him to get in the playoffs.

I never thought we had a chance at him anyway. Also I figured his brothers last few years would be a factor.

Yea makes sense, we treated his brother horribly. I mean he only won 2 rings and a shot at the HOF because of us. Not to mention we paid him close to 20 mil a year for him to not give 100% every night during the later part of his time with us, we treated him terrible though...

This is yet another reason I was glad he left. His pouty attitude was so annoying.

The irony of the whole thing is if Pau played more like his brother, he wouldn't have caught any flak. Could you imagine if you combined those two to make one player?

Where does it say "Kobe Bryant" being singled out? Your title is misleading like what lakerfan98 said

Good thing we found out well in advance. We can focus our efforts to those who would want to play for us.

That he was. Family and business together is always a volatile mix and it didn't work in our favour here.

Pau can take a pretty fair chunk of the credit for those back to back titles... He wasnt Adam Morrison

Pau was paid well and then some when he was playing well. When he didn't play well he became a part of business. But faking vertigo?????

Makes no sense whatsoever. Pau never had success until he became a Laker. Marc is not his brother & if his mind still carries bitterness for how his brother played down to his contract and how media & lakernation treated him = Lakers dont need those type of emotional players. Id still like to hear this from Marc though.
