From what I've read, he's pretty good on defense and can shoot too. He really impressed the Lakers in the 5 v 5 workouts.

KOBE. #VINO. BRYANT.

@chadfordinsider

Larry Nance Jr. an interesting choice. Versatile. Great athlete. High basketball IQ. Raptors looked at him at 20. He dominated workouts.
Impossible is nothing.

If we are gonna sit around and say management saw something in Russell and that is why they took him over Okafor we have to do the same here. They had to see something they liked from this kid to take him, hopefully they yet again are right.

I'm not down on Nance Jr.  Looks like both the players we drafted blew us away in workouts.  What grinds my gears is we have nothing at the small forward position and our team lacks shooting and we passed on Hunter.  The Lakers are an extremely profitable team we could have drafted Hunter and simply bought into the 2nd round if we loved Nance Jr. so much as well as still drafting Upshaw or Christmas at 34.

This kid is gonna dominate. Don't be surprised if he turns out the steal of the draft.

Lakers were proably looking for someone who can provide energy right away. He probably won't be anything special but he can be a spark plug for 10-15 mins a  game.

Great pick!!!

"Bryant had come to rage against the idea that Howard's clownish disposition could overtake the locker room, the Lakers' culture, and had warned Howard that he would never, ever let it happen."

Welcome to the Lakers! Now get lost.

Looking at some film on him, I can't help but see a resemblance in his game to Samaki Walker.
