Didn't Kurt Rambis have like an 11 game winning streak at one point?

Yep. They were doing great with Dennis on the team. After Dennis was released, they didn't have the same momentum.

^ Don't remember, but why was he even released in the first place then? Whose call was it? Was it really necessary?

Dennis being Dennis. Not focusing, going to WCW instead of showing up to practice.

^ Still sucks we had to let him go with the team doing well. It only he could've hung around a little longer until Phil came back again.

I think about that too.  Just like I think about if Magic had stayed one more season and we'd have seen him on the team with Shaq and Kobe how legendary that would have been.

Just to see Magic throwing an alley oop to Shaq... just.. THAT kind of moment....

I remember being at those games.  Dennis was more than a handful on and off the court.  This was the peak of his. let's say, "imbalance".

It was a bummer to see him let go, but it had to be done.
