you really think it'll happen? this isn't the first time in the last few years that a horse has won the derby and the preakness and been favored in the belmont...i've about given up hope, but i haven't been following AP much, so maybe this horse is a little different?

I felt the same way till after Preakness. AP just won so easily. Out front and he was pacing. Last turn and he had a high gear that just pulled away from the pack so fast. In that last turn he went from a 1-2 horse lead to a 10-12. I never seen a animal run that fast. It was like a cheetah video on nature channel or something. ..lol. I'm optimistic. It's gonna happen now I believe he's gonna do it. He's the best of this year's group by a mile.

it'd be awesome to see that happen in my lifetime...though i'm still a bit skeptical. the belmont is more of an endurance race if i remember correctly, and where speed is obviously important, if the horse is going too fast too early, he might burn out. i'm sure the jockey and his team aren't stupid and are well aware of this so he'll be sure to pace the horse, at least i hope so, because yet again i'll be watching hoping that this is the year

"Bryant had come to rage against the idea that Howard's clownish disposition could overtake the locker room, the Lakers' culture, and had warned Howard that he would never, ever let it happen."

Wow he won by a lot too. Pretty crazy. Probably will be the most expensive horse to ever live.

Don't understand the fascination with this at all.

You think the horse himself actually understands/cares about what he just achieved?

if you have an obedient dog, you know how much time and effort it takes for training.
now apply that to a thousand pound horse, competing against other horses bred and trained to be in peak physical condition.
I am also not really into it, but I respect the time and money it takes to train a horse, and think it's awesome to have witnessed a triple crown winner in my lifetime. it's been 37 some odd years since the last one, just to show how difficult it is to accomplish.

can't believe he did, and did it so easily too...good stuff, glad it's finally happened again so everyone can stop talking about how it'll never happen again
