Pretty awesome response.

A 16-year-old former Seattle SuperSonics fan from Bellingham, Washington has found a new team to support after his letter-writing campaign to all 30 NBA teams yielded just one returned letter—from the Minnesota Timberwolves.

The Timberwolves sent back a letter featuring 10 reasons to support the team and an autographed ball.

To see the T-WOVES response & gift they sent him, click the link to the story.

What would Buss give as the top 10 reasons to be a Lakers fan right now? :cool2: .

Some kid in the Midwest sent a similar letter to NFL teams, and the Carolina Panthers responded.

So, get in your NHL and MLB letters now, before this is old hat.

^^^ Yea I am sure this was done after he got the idea from that story. Funny how both of the teams that responded in these cases are teams with bad fan bases, they know they need every fan they can get lol.

All I want for Christmas is a Laker girl :D

The T-Wolves have pretty much done everything right this year...

(except for basketball related descisions)

only thing I'd have changed is they should have went after George Karl when they had the chance.  He'd be perfect for this team.

"Bryant had come to rage against the idea that Howard's clownish disposition could overtake the locker room, the Lakers' culture, and had warned Howard that he would never, ever let it happen."

Send something to Dirk and he'll sign it and send it back.

Exactly.  It was nice when the kid with the NFL letter did it. Now it seems like a little attention grabbing from both the "kid" (which I think 16 year old  is not much of a kid. He is a junior in H.S for crying out loud) or maybe that one team just want more attention to their team.  There better not be an MLB letter from a kid and with one team responding or else it will be more of a joke than a feel good story.

And to be honest, writing letters to all the teams because you can't decide what teams you root for is a bandwagon fan in the making. Just because a team write back help you decide that you should root for them? Really?  I never had issues finding my favorite team ever. I can write a whole story of how I become a fan of the Lakers and 49ers and what makes one become a fan. Writing letters to a team doesn't seem like what true fans really did when they were kids. I talk to a lot of true fans out there.

They want free stuff that's why they're doing it.
