Asa is a much better actor than obrien

For me it's Lerman or Asa

Though I like the Asa idea. Him interacting with RDJ would be funny

Yeah Asa is the kind of acting skill on a Lerman like level.   He could pull off geeky socially awkward Peter and I'm sure he could pull off Andrew Garfield style Spider-Man.

Young Peter Parker. Like the comics did.

Recruit talent not fit. Asa is one of the most talented actors under 20. He's as good as it gets in his age range and according to feige they want a young teenager Spider-Man which he qualifies

He'd own that role. Honestly if they choose him I'd applaud them. It'd be an inspired choice. One I didn't think of but one that seems perfect

Eh, are they talking about an early teenage spidey? Or when they say teenager do they mean 17-19?

I still like Obrien. I think he'd be great in the role and would work in fantastically with the civil war cast.

Not to say Asa doesn't have the chops, but I'm still trying to figure out how THAT young of a spidey could fit in to Civil War as well.

I support this, he was really solid in Ender’s Game and he did well in Hugo and The Boy in the Stripped Pajamas. asa has a charming and iconic face.. I still want O'brien though lol.

Must say he does look a bit older now, still has the Peter Parker babyface but he won't look 12 for sure. Asa I mean.

So Sherlock and Watson are both in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Spider-Man set to announce director soon
spider-man-124292.jpg

New reports are suggesting that Marvel and Sony Studios have narrowed their list of Spider-Man film directors to six candidates.

On the short-list are Jonathan Levine (Warm Bodies), Ted Melfi (St. Vincent), Jason Moore (Pitch Perfect) John Fracis Daley & Jonathan M. Goldstein (Vacation reboot), and Jared Hess (Napoleon Dynamite). However, the report notes that this list is not all-inclusive, meaning that a few other directors could still remain in Marvel and Sony's sights.

Each director seems qualified to bring Marvel and Sony’s Peter Parker, who will be a young high school student in the vein of the Silver Age Spider-Man tales, to life. The report also notes that the studios want Spider-Man to feel like a coming of age tale, set with "John Hughes humor" and the usual superhero tropes. The report suggest that a decision could be reached as early as next week, with Sony Head Tom Rothman making the final choice.

If it's true it's a great choice. He'll be Spider-Man for 10-15 years potentially.
