Awful: Bulls just announced that Derrick Rose will undergo surgery after an MRI revealed medial meniscus tear in right knee. No timetable.

Bulls announced Derrick Rose has medial meniscus tear in right knee, will need surgery. His meniscus tear last year was also in that knee.

Bulls just announced a meniscus tear in Derrick Rose's right knee

Bulls say Derrick Rose has a torn meniscus & needs surgery. Just terrible news.

The Bulls add that surgery will be scheduled for Derrick Rose after which a timeline for his return will be determined.

People talking about Rose calling it a career: DOUBTFUL.

Oh man, seems like it's over for him. That's just way too many knee surgeries on a guy who's game was entirely based around change-of-pace.

Another super talent slowed/stopped by injuries..

Wish him the best for a comeback. Not very hopeful though

All goes back to that 4th quarter vs Philly he shouldn't have been playing in.

Man toooo depressing. I remember Westbrook having this same surgery coming back the same season. Doubt it with his history but it is possible

Talked to two people close to D-Rose: No answers there, either. Not ruling out a return this season, but too early to make any predictions.

Said it from the beginning, Chicago wins if healthy, but they're not gonna be healthy with these guys.

Rose is turning into Brandon Roy 2.0. That kid was the next thing to Kobe if he didn't have to retire early because of knee injuries. I feel bad for Rose. Another career possibly cut short by injuries.

Heard from a doctor that was interviewed in sportcenter that if theyre just gonna remove the part that was sewn (from the previous surgery) then d rose could be back for the playoffs. But not sure thats whats gonna happen until surgery
