Some are saying this fight may be the death to boxing.

In a way it is.

There's really nobody who can sell PPVs like Manny and Floyd.

As a Filipino, i'm extremely disappointed in Manny, he wasn't Manny. No head movement, lack of his great footwork, and his speed wasn't there. Floyd ran yes, but he's done that forever now lol, great defensive fighter he used ol school tactics to defeat Manny left jab and right straights.

I mean who's next for either fighter really?

Mayweather vs Cotto 2?

May vs Tim Bradley?

May vs Khan?

May vs Ortiz 2?

Pacman vs Maidana?

Pacman vs Broner?

Pacman vs Khan?

Pacman vs Jesse Vargas?

Pacman vs Malignaggi?

Lol.

He did a whole lot of it in like the first eight rounds. Obviously he landed punches, but if you don't want to admit he didn't do so, then you're no better than the haters that say he's not one of the best of all time.

Floyd ran, I can do the same and put Manny punching Floyds face, and say Manny barley threw punches.

anyways the world was robbed w/ this fight.

Good thing I streamed it and didn't pay. That was so boring. I kind of expected it, boxing does not equal fighting.

I don't get why they don't fight to someone gets knocked out or surrenders. All I saw most of the time was running and them hugging each other.

I had to go watch some Tyson/ Roy Jones Jr highlights after this fight to actually see some real fighters.

Fight played out like I expected. You can hate floyd but manny didn't do / couldn't do [expletive] against Floyd. Floyd did what he does vs everyone why are people acting surprised? The reason this was coined as "fight of the century" is because people thought Manny was the 1 fighter that can be a threat to Floyd. Manny literally just stood there most of the fight not throwing anything at times. And he was getting popped with the straight right and check hooks all night. He didn't cut off the ring, didn't come in at angles. He literally had no plan b. Even Marcos Maidana put up a better fight than Manny. Floyd makes fighters look average and that's what he did to Pacquiao.

Beat women....yea most can't/won't

But he was talking about posting pictures/evidence to support a side, not go in the ring and fight.

Dodging punches and running around the ring for 12 rounds isn't boxing.  Ali would play rope-a-dope, but he would also tag you with punches hard enough to KO you every round, whether it was flurries or not.

Back when boxing was fun, none of them wanted to go 12 rounds.  They wanted to end it from the start of the bell in the 1st.  Yes, that meant being strategic, but it also meant beating your opponent's face and body to a pulp.

There's a reason why there are few people who enjoyed this fight.  For years, boxing has been on life support, and for many reasons that include fights such as this one, questionable scorecards, unthinkable purses, etc.  Competition has hit rock bottom, and honestly, both the UFC and professional wrestling have assisted in turning boxing into a badminton or shuffleboard, rather than a basketball or football when it comes to sports.  It would be disrespect to Tim Duncan if you stated boxing was as boring as he was, because he's actually a winner.

It's just sad to see things this way now.  When I was a kid, I had a pair of boxing gloves that I "trained" with.  I loved Mike Tyson, and my favorite movies were from the Rocky series.  Now, I can't even watch these matches, and I haven't been interested since Roy Jones Jr's fall from grace (the loss against Calzaghe was it for me).  It's just not the same anymore, and I didn't buy the PPV for that very reason, knowing it would all turn out this way.
