I've been a member for some time now but this never occured to me until a friend of mine wanted to join this messageboard and was confused. He told me there is another website called lakersnation. He went in there and it was a totally different kind of lakers website than the lakernation website. I was trying to find a thread about it on here but having issues finding it. I have a couple of questions about this. One of the question is do you guys get a lot of confusions from members about which lakernation website is the real one? Another question is do you get feedback and questions about this alot? Doesn't seem like this subject was discuss as much. And the other question is if the two website is based on one entity?  There are lakersnation reporters at lakers game but it seems like the reporter is for the other lakersnation website besides this one.  I am confused now.

Lakernation is the original TLN. LakerSnation is a newer site - probably 3-4 years old. Never checked it.

Both are Lakers site with a forum board for its fans/members. There isn't a "real" or "fake" site.

They should've gone with a different name, not add one letter to the original and confuse hundreds of people.

There is no tie between the two sites. All I know is that, the day I installed the message board, they didn't exist.

I think it is kind of weird to have a lakerSnation. Is there a way to get rid of that site all together? Do  any of the mods on here know the mods over there? Who own this website anyway? I know they added an S in the name so maybe thelakernation couldn't sue them for copyright or whatever but it is kind of weird to have two thats that is so similiar.  It is very confusing. Sometimes I accidently go into lakersnation site by mistake instead of lakernation.

Nah. They have their own place, with a domain name they purchased. They aren't doing anything illegal...all content is theirs, as we have our own.

Jaime Quintanilla and Kam Pashai own LN.

At one point, the other site had some issues...and I really didn't bother making it a distraction of mine. I'm pretty sure Jaime and Kam looked the other way as well, whatever it was. Probably had something to do with the name.

Kam doesn't seem to be interested in basketball anymore on Twitter
