Lakers claimed Tarik Black, league source tells Yahoo.

Lakers had ability to place claim ahead of Charlotte, who tried to claim Black. Black gives Lakers an interesting, young center prospect.

Oh wow, we actually beat Charlotte to the punch, earlier it was pretty guaranteed Black was heading to Charlotte. lol

Finally, a defensive center. Does this mean Rob is gonna get traded to the Cavs or elsewhere?

Ok now maybe our front office will go get a damn wing player so we can have someone other than Nick who is remotely good. When is the last time we had a great defensive and solid offensive wing besides when Metta first signed with us?

Would've given Patric Young a chance first if we're looking at defensive center (trash) prospects

Any move that results in less playing time for Sacre is a good move.

Lin/Sacre for Lance.

I'd support this. More time for clarkson and less time watching Lin be afraid of shooting

Why would we want him?

Finally the power move to get out of the basement. The FO move is trash; all the moves to this point have been gold.

Lakers could have waived Xavier Henry earlier (ie to get Earl Clark, etc), but team wanted to wait out to see who else was available

Allowing Henry to stay on roster until Lakers found player they wanted both bought team time & gave Henry access to training staff to rehab
