Don't think it's at the level of sideline story, but some real deep tracks here

People think he attacked Eminem when all he did was quote Em's verse from the song "Without Me".

Album is one of the best albums I've heard in the past 5 years. Only rap CD I'd rate higher in that time period is K Dot.

Do yourself and pick it up.

I'm gonna take this back. Wasn't necessarily impressed until giving it a second listen. Quality work, really loving this.

All I've been listening to for the past couple days. Love Yourz is my favorite track. Wet Dreamz takes me back to 11th grade lol

Some songs I really like, problem I have with cole is all his songs sound the same. Good album probably better than his last but no on the level of his first.

It's alright.

But tell us how you really feel ahaha

I feel along this line because the last two jcole albums have felt so damn similar. Cole world was great to me then again an artist first piece of work normally is their best.

Nowadays that seems true.

Back then, rappers like Tupac, Biggie, and Eminem continued to make good albums after their debut's.

Right now it's all hype.

^^ Well I would say Jay still drops some good stuff from time to time considering he has been in the game since the 90's same goes for Kanye. Other than that though your right, which goes to show how much respect you have to pay to those guys that do it. Longevity in an art form is the true sign of greatness. There is a reason some artist drop a hot album and then fall off the face of the earth, its hard to keep good work coming out.

Cole's third album was pretty good imo though. It shows he has some staying power in the game, but to me his stuff sounds too similar. Its the same melody beat over and over and then he doesn't like to do features so most albums can play straight through and sound like one long song. Some like that, but to me it shows a lack of versatility. Don't get me wrong I like cole and his style but it seems like he is a one trick pony in that regard. Nothing wrong with that, but lilttle jermaine can't be claiming king because of these reasons imo.

Kanye is one of the best to ever do it. Hard to compare. His worst album (yeezus) was still critically acclaimed. The guy may be the most consistent musician to ever exist in hip hop.

Keep in mind I said musician not rapper. Kanye isn't even on the radar for best rapper ever though he's no slouch, id maybe even take J. Cole over him. But his albums are events, start to finish, he tells stories with production, lyrics and ambience.

I still contend the best hip hop album since 2000 is my beautiful dark twisted fantasy.

J cole to me is behind guys like Kanye, jay, Kendrick guys who just have unique personalities.

Cole is skilled and talented but his personality is so weak. He's boring and it shows in how his music is always the same
