Randle really needs to get back to basics IMO.

Rebound and easy buckets. The rest of his game can develop over time.

Agree. He is doing the kobe thing . We're he waits for the d to load on him tgen attacks. The thing is he isn't play maker yet. He just really need to get that 15 footer jumper. Which isn't hard to get. And not hold the ball attack right away

I wonder if he and Worthy have been working with each other or has he been working with Tracy

He was playing well. Relatively hot and you want guys like that to stay in rhythm.
Russ, JR in particular need it. Lou was missing lay ups. Bass had a knee injury.

He's hungry  :naughty:.. this what I like to hear

@LakersReporter

Julius Randle, after a strong game (15 pts, 19 rebs, 2 stls): "Oh man, I still have so much to work on. So many ways (to get better)."

Exactly what I wanna see, bully those guys down there Randle. If they're stronger or bigger than you, they're slower than you. If they have the extra step, use your strength. He absolutely can lead the league in offensive rebounds. He needs to focus on rebounds and defense, the rest of the game will come so easy for him.

I can see him guarding every position on the floor and grabbing 13+ boards a game. If he does that, we start winning basketball games. I don't care if he scores 10 or 30. He doesn't need to be that offensive minded big man, he's so much more valuable than that.

I agree, but don't see that as his mentality.
He can be one of those 1-5 type players eventually and it starts with a jumper and just age.

We are a better offensive team when Russell handles the ball on the break

And I was more concerned about his rebounding than his scoring. Couldn't have been more wrong... JR ranks now 13th in the league in RPG.

But I want to see more of these games from him and I don't mean 19 rebs games, I mean crashing the offensive boards too. For some reason until now he was all about transition defense which is fine in a way, but he should try to maximize his strengths on both ends of the floor right now, and work on his weaknesses in practice. Use that motor on both ends to build up on confidence and the rest will come in time
