Randle's mom on foot injury that nearly cost senior year :"That taught him about being patient & to keep fighting"

I had the same injury as @J30_RANDLE - he'll recover fine. #StayStrong

This shouldn't affect his explosiveness when he comes back right?

He'll be fine. Its just somthing that takes time to heal. They said no ligaments were torn just a fracture bone.

For those asking re: Julius Randle. Usually several months to full recovery for these kinds of fractures. Tibia is weight-bearing. #Lakers

I think its pretty good chance he's done for the season. Even if he could come back I doubt lakers will want to play a out of shape rookie for a month.

JULIUS RANDLE @Lakers Good news: no ligament or tendon damage. Bad news: fractured tibia. Likely surgery. Out minimum 4 months.

So maybe Feb or March? They could just call it the season.

Really ? That would be great news but, Ligament and tendon tears can only be seen through a MRI. X-rays cannot see them at all. And I know Randle has not gone through a MRI yet. So that MAY be just some wishful thinking.

Maybe he can bust a Blake Griffin.

Sit out this entire season, come back next season and win Rookie of the Year?

Wishful thinking, but I'm just trying to be optimistic.

He can't. He is not eligible to win rookie of the year next year. He's already played this year.

Yes, if it'd happened against Sacramento he'd be eligible.

The season from that side of it is now gonna be about what Ryan Kelly can do and how big of a factor Ed Davis is now going to be.

But as far as Julius goes you will likely see him on his feet again by late January/Early February, and he 'may' be back on the practice court around the end of ASB.    He will likely be able to 'physically' return before the end of the season, but it's a matter if the Lakers are gonna play him or not during that time.

Question now is...who do the Lakers sign to replace Randle ???
