There's no underrating this team Majesty, they are who they are - a third rate NBA squad.

bigfetz:  The Lakers won't have Xavier Henry either.

He just got cleared. He's playing tonight.

RT @LakersReporter: Pleasant surprise for the Lakers: despite missing the preseason, Xavier Henry is available to play tonight.

I can also see the Lakers losing this game and everyone freaking out and underrating this team and 10 threads starting :)

They won't freak out, they just jump out and yell what they always yell, laker suck as a fan slogan. Strange but true

Lakers are a 6 point underdog.   That is bound to create hunger for Kobe.

Kobe is always hungry, only a real athlete can feel his competitiveness.

I guarantee you NO NBA player looks at, or is motivated by a Las Vegas betting line. All that is is a number to draw an equal amount of Betting on each team. If a NBA Veteran cannot be motivated just by being in the league, and getting paid millions of dollars then they're not worth a Damn!!  Kobe gets Motivated by WINNING...not by what some Vegas Wiseguy puts down on a betting Line!!

Our schedule is tough as hell to being with. Rockets, Suns, Clippers and Warriors. Strong possibility we start 0-4 but I'm excited to just see this team play some regular season basketball again.

I like to think you are right but...no, you're not. Lin will get eaten up by Houston's Beverly. And our Defense is maybe the worst in the league. Kobe will have to go off for 60, and Lin 45...and even that won't be enough.

he did this in a sason game too and they got along in usa summmer. He jsut couldnt handle the pressure of being a laker and the ship or bust mentality.

kobe really was like 15% of him leaving.

i mean MDA, and media was most of it .  who would leave being kobes sidekick to be james hardens?

Dwight probably felt like he could likely take or share the team with Harden.  He'd have to "take" the team from Kobe.  And he knew he wouldn't be able to.   He left one coach that ran run and gun pick and roll for another coach that runs run and gun pick and roll that many fans consider worse than the coach he left.

All comes back around.

"Bryant had come to rage against the idea that Howard's clownish disposition could overtake the locker room, the Lakers' culture, and had warned Howard that he would never, ever let it happen."

I'm curious to see how many minutes Randle plays and the reaction of fans if the Lakers go 1-0.

They did beat the Clippers on opening night without Kobe so I think they have a much better chance of a win tonight than most people think.

Probably true, but it wouldn't mean much.
