It doesn't matter, he'll be a beast once I played him even at the rating of 60

We should be happy if that is the case. Even MORE motivation for Kobe, this is GREAT!

I thought after last season Sacre would at least get a nice bump into the low 70s. Oh well. Other than that the ratings for our players look to be about right.

Backup big man Robert Sacre comes in as the lowest-rated Lakers this time around with a 67 rating, while Kobe Bryant is at the top with an 89 rating. Kobe dropped four points from last season, when he had a 93 rating at NBA 2K14's release.

Here's a full list of ratings for those not interested in damaging their vision trying to decipher the video:

Robert Sacre - 67

Jordan Clarkson - 70

Ryan Kelly - 71

Ed Davis - 73

Xavier Henry - 73

Wesley Johnson - 73

Steve Nash - 76

Julius Randle - 76

Nick Young - 76/78 (Hardest one to read, looks like a 76 or 78 once the glare moves away from the screen)

Jordan Hill - 76

Jeremy Lin - 77

Carlos Boozer - 78

Kobe Bryant - 89

Kobe comes in as the only Laker to break the 80-overall mark, and the team has no players over 90.

In NBA Live 2003, Jordan was 89 and second best Wizards player (Stackhouse was 93). For instance, Shaq was 96 and Kobe 95.

Doesn't 2K adjust the ratings according to the real life performance of the players as the NBA season progresses?  Or am I mistaking that for another sports game, maybe MLB the Show?

If so, Kobe will be back at 90+ if he comes stays healthy and comes back in full Mamba Mode...
