Henry is the better player, Wes is a better fit for the starting lineup as well as a more natural SF. Easy choice.

Wes may get the start just until Xavier is healthier.

PG: Jeremy Lin / Ramon Sessions / Jordan Clarkson / x / x / x / x / x / x / xxx / Steve Nash

SG: Kobe Bryant / Nick Young / Jordan Clarkson

SF: Xavier Henry / Wes Johnson / Michael Beasley

PF: Carlos Boozer / Julius Randle / Ryan Kelly

C: Jordan Hill / Ed Davis / Robert Sacre

I actually think that roster would surprise alot of people by the end of the season.

i agree, that roster has the talent to make the playoffs, for sure, no doubt about it.

i co-sign the Beasley signing, even tho i wouldnt argue against not bringing him in, at the same time.

the Ramon signing would be a huge plus, but, it would also hinder Clarkson's development. and idk if i'd be down for that, just to be an 8th seed

A. Do we have the cap room to sign both of those guys?

B. Really wouldn't want Sessions back. That would be a flooded backourt and honestly Sessions could potentially be outplayed by either Clarkson on a hot streak or a healthy Nash. Really we would only be benefiting from having him when Clarkson is playing poorly and Nash is hurt. I understand there's a pretty solid chance of that happening often, but I think there is where we would rely on Lin for more minutes or Kobe running the 1 instead.

C. Would really be interested in seeing Beasley here! One of my favorite C status players in the game. Super inconsistent and streaky but that could be really fun to watch. Super athletic with decent skills...could be a solid energy guy and spark for the team off the bench.

The Lakers have officially signed Wesley Johnson - 12 players on the roster - guessing Jordan Clarkson next?

LOL even the FO refers to Nick as Swaggy , this [expletive] is getting ridiculous.

It literally says Swaggy P above Johnson's name right now.

It's ultimately up to Scott obviously, but I think Wes should start just for defensive purposes and hitting a wide open 3 here and there. I like Swaggy off the bench.

For those who cant see

1 Lin/Nash/Clarkson

2 Bryant/Henry

3 Swaggy/Johnson

4 Boozer/Kelly/Davis

5 Hill/Sacre

They than have Randle in between the 3 and 4 on the bottom. I swear they better not just stick Randle at the end of the bench and never play him.

Also the different "colors" the players names appear in seem to represent where they are/were in the signing stage.

Praying for  1. Some Cohesion (Ill fitting parts with young bucks, new guys, and those playing for next contracts may muck things up all season) 2. Better Coaching, No More Tanking (Last season was more of the latter but not sure how much of the former we can count on. Walton with something to prove this season as much as any Laker player) 3. Rookie Watch (Hoping Lonzo outshines his daddy (ROTY??), and Kuzma finds minutes and makes a push for all rook 2nd team)

READY FOR SEASON!!!

I'm guessing in a Scott lineup Randle could see a lot of 3... I assume this team is gonna walk it up the floor and rely on a true old school Pete Carill princeton offense. This means traditional forward/center positions aren't gonna matter much on offense... If this is the case Boozer is pretty important here because he will have to be the hub or the Chris Webber of the offense. Play that high post and direct traffic for the entire squad. The real problem is gonna be having Hill, Davis, Randle consistently hitting the open mid range shots they'll probably be seeing.

I was thinking we should make a new fresh thread of this season's roster. I'll update if there's any future trades or signings during season.

i'll pin this assuming you're going to keep it updated throughout the season

I think one aspect of our team that is interesting is that there is a lot of overlap between the different positions, so we could have something of a 2-3 position team where guys swith back and forth between different positions.

I wouldn't be shocked if i saw Randle-Boozer-Hill on the floor together at the 3,4 and 5, respectively, or even Kelly and Randle as the 4 and 5.

Same in the back-court. Lin, Nash, Kobe could work at times and so could Clarkson, Henry and Wes.
