If Nash is a definite no go, I would like to see a seasoned backup true PG on our bench. If Nash can't go and Lin gets hurt we're really screwed

Idea. Leandro Barbosa

Would much rather have Clarkson get burn than Barbosa

if we sign marion, then sign barbosa, we might as well sign raja bell too.
Then we can call ourserlves the Los Angeles Suns.

No thanks, hated him in Toronto, took horrible shots. You gotta let the kids develop, looks like another lost season so let them gain experience. Clarkson looked decent in Summer League, let him play behind Lin.

Not really against getting someone like Barbosa, since we are quite thin at the PG position once Nash goes down (which he will). Would love for Clarkson to get minutes at the 1, but counting on him for 18-20mpg is a quite a stretch for a second round rookie.
Another guy i'd like us to chase is Toney Douglas. He's a defender/3pt shooter and when Kobe is handling the ball i think Douglas would be a nice fit at the 1. With Clarkson being quite big, i could even see Douglas playing next to him at times.

there are plenty of younger options.
If we are going to go older, why not Steve Blake? (if still unsigned)
edit-nevermind, thought he got released.

That's not to say he's a bad player, he just found a place where he fits his role. He'd be garbage on most other teams.
That being said, he'd be stupid to leave Kerr after reviving his career.
