Understand this deal isn't of the Lakers doing.  This is the Rockets scrambling to make a move that will free up the cap space for Chris Bosh.  But the Lakers are ALSO after Chris Bosh.

I'm gonna need a 1st round pick for next year with Lin to take that trade.

The Lakers better get assets along with taking on his contract. I don't think he's even worth his cap number, much less the $15 mil he will get paid. But, I guess that's for the Lakers to worry about.

Seems like this week is homecoming week. LeBron back to Ohio, Chris Bosh back to Texas. Will Lin come home to the Lakers? Is D-Wade gonna go back home and sign with the Bulls?

Lakers could land Lin, Jones and Motiejunas and it would only cost them $11.3 million (against the cap at least). Still room to sign guys.

Montiejunas, Jones and Lin at only 11.3 mill?   I'd take that deal.  Montiejunas is a beast.

This move made a lot of sense before IT2 and Lance become free agency options.  I don't like the sound of this at all.  2015 cap room really isn't something I care for now with Randle in the fold anyway.  2

C: Brook Lopez, Marc Gasol, Omer Asik

PF: Love, LMA and Millsap

None of the PGs or wings in 2015 FA are worth saving cap room for.  Rudy Gay might be the best player in 2015 outside of the bigs by a large margin.

Love would be the only one I'd consider but would he really choose a Laker team that can't really provide him an impact player on the team?  Before we envisioned probably drafting one of the top guys or Smart but with Randle you have to make a trade and trading a 2nd year player for a star is extremely difficult in terms of salary matching.

LMA will be 30 by next year.  I think he's a great player but he's not someone I'd give a max deal to on a team that has no foundation and the odds of him leaving the Blazers in its current state for LA is pretty slim.  Money wise and talent wise it makes very little sense.

Let's help Houston build an unbeatable dynasty and hand Dwight a couple rings. Not bad. Come on over Jeremy!

so the Lakers are 0 for 2 and soon to be 0 for 3?  (well, 0 for 4 if you include Love, but it's a bit early for that)
