I think I need to hit on quite a bit here, before we proceed any further with our forums.
1) No spamming.
I already talked about this in an announcement earlier, but as a reminder, please do not spam any other website or message board to recruit members. If you are caught doing this, you may be subject to a suspension from TLN.
2) Discussing other sites
As of now, let's try to keep all discussion of other Lakers sites to a minimum. If you want TLN to become the best Lakers source on the net, you're going to have to keep all other message board/website talk on their respected forums, simple as that. Our main concern is the URL above, our affiliates, and nothing more.
In addition to this, refrain from going to those sites/boards and posting about us as well. If they want to talk about us, let them do it on their own terms, and don't bother joining in.
3) Suggest, not demand
When you leave suggestions, please be patient. If we decide not to install or add a feature, don't grow angry and decide to leave. We have legit reasons for our decisions. The more we add, the slower the board could run, so we have to be careful in that regard.
4) Feel free to post wherever you'd like
We aren't holding you hostage here, we just want contributors. We want dedicated members. The thing is, you can be a part of any website or message board, and we aren't going to mind at all. I'm sure many of you realize this already, but some believe they won't earn respect if they are posting elsewhere. Not true.
5) New features, modifications, and changes
In the next couple of days, I'm going to code a few things and try to come up with new forum ideas, maybe forum changes/merging/expanding, and board modifications and features just for TLN. It will be up to you to utilize these how you wish, but they will be available soon.
If you see an increasing similarity between TLN and OTR (my site), it shouldn't be a problem. Our focus here is to offer our Lakers community more than anyone else can, while my direction on OTR was to offer our NBA community the most. Both sites will share similar features, but we try to avoid sharing with other similar sites (say it slow and it makes sense).

Finally, I think I speak for our entire TLN staff (not just on the forums) when I say thank you to our members, who have put forth a huge effort in creating an active message board. Yes, a few of us "created" it, but the board goes nowhere without it's members and post content, and that's all on your shoulders.
Let's gear up for a successful, and hopefully championship, season...and prepare to be a part of what will soon be the best Lakers message board on the net!
