Great stuff right here folks. Recommend to all.

18:47-20:25 - Compares Penny & Kobe.

20:25-21:44 - Compares Kobe & MJ.

28:41-31:29 - Talks about the Kobe & Shaq drama/dynamic.

31:46-33:30 - Talks about the 2001 Laker Championship Team & its historic 15-1 run in the playoffs. Picks that Laker team with a slight advantage over his 91 MJ Bulls team.

LOL Bill Simmons is such a punk. Saying LeBron is the first guy that you can compare to Jordan. How this guy even gets tv time let alone his own show just baffles me

That pissed me off as well, but can't say I was shocked one bit by it.

i hate when people talk about what ifs and totally ignore the reality.. and reality is.. kobe has been elite for YEARS and PLAYED through injuries that sidelines some players. I'm not informed on Penny's injuries but kobe is the second greatest SG to play the game.

LeBron hasn't even caught Kobe yet and after Kobe he still needs to catch Kareem, so he isn't even near catching Jordan yet.    I swear they try to make his potential a forgone conclusion

I was pleasantly surprised he picked our 01 Lakers over his 91 MJ Bulls though.

I'll be honest though. I didn't get to see a whole lot of Penny in his prime Orlando days, but what I do remember most than anything is how huge of a fan my older Brother was. He was by far & away his favorite player. He always got most of his shoes, which I myself admit were some of the best. To this day though, I can't believe how popular these in particular remain as well as especially expensive & hard to cop:

Well I'd pick the 88 Lakers over the 91 Bulls as well.

I mean the 91 Lakers fought the Bulls extremely hard and kept it close.  They won game 1.   Had game 3 and let it slip away in the 4th and Overtime.   Had game 5 and let it slip away again.

i'm willing to bet if Worthy and Scott aren't injured, and with Kareem instead of Vlade and all in their 88 form they likely beat the 91 Bulls too.

As long as MJ only compares 1 person named Kobe to himself & recognizes his true gr8ness = the media can phuc off = all they have done Kobes entire career after Colorado is down play & belittle his gr8ness.

Yea but even looking at that game, Iverson was amazing. Kind of have to give his due. Even if he shot half of his team's FG's lol.

" I don't like him personally, which affects the way I think of him professionally.
He hasn't been the greatest teammate this decade, both on and off the court. It's been documented ad nauseam, even in books by people paid to coach him. When he accidentally injured Andrew Bynum's knee recently, I found it interesting that Kobe's reaction was more "Crap, there goes my title!" than "Oh, no, my teammate is hurt—I hate seeing him in pain!"

We did... and layoffs hurt us before the finals as well.

if one remembers prior to that the 89 finals before facing the Pistons we had a lot of time off as well.   And suffered two injuries in practice and one in game 1 due to it.

Thus the Pistons swept us.
