Maybe we do end up trading Blake and Meeks for a defensive PF now

Signing a D-League doesn't change much.

But I do like him. I think he has potential. Who knows? Maybe we got a Jeremy Lin on our hands.

Would be very interesting and amazing if the Lakers struck gold on Johnson, Henry and Marshall in the same year...

Ha, my brother was just saying he hopes the Lakers get Kendall Marshall, I didn't even know he was waived, next thing I know lakers sign him. I like tall point guards, will be fun to watch him get some burn. I know how he plays but I have zero expectations, so looking forward to seeing him out there.

Cause if his system is good for anything its good for taking advantage of the one or two things wings can do well. Marshall should excell in it tbh he's a natural passer anyway, its his jumpshot that's suspect. Perfect time for Nash to return from Vancouver, work with the kid.

From the strengths and weaknesses post in the first page of the thread, he sounds kind of like Ricky Rubio (a high IQ passer who can't shoot the basket)

No real issue with that. We have enough firepower on this team.

Oh, I wasn't trying to downplay this at all. I'd love a Ricky Rubio-like point guard on this team.

Well if Real Deal endorsed this guy as passionately as he did, then he must be pretty damn good cause RD hardly ever doesn't know his stuff. Looking forward to RD's post about this.

Wish the lakers signed him a week ago

Seriously, instead of killing Kobe and his legs just coming off injury, smh.

A lot less flashy though, but still, effective, which is what should matter most.

yo.
